It won't get us where we want to go. And if Greg Bell gets hurt the season simply ends. Not going to work in the long run. We'll see. You seem to ignore our other RB's who are good also like Chance Bell, Byrd. Or don't they count? Fresno St. does have a great QB, but we have a great Defense, and he can be hurried and INT'd like we did to Utah. But, I will say this, Fresno is a very good team, and after their defeat of UCLA you have to watch out for them. I find it very difficult to believe that they have beaten UCLA four straight times when we got our first victory over them in 2019. But, they are a serious rival to us.

Bell is getting the ball because he's the best player on the field. If he gets injured, we have several talented back-ups, but more so if the back-up (new starter) isn't the best player on the field we'll look more to other playmakers. Offensive play calling is fluid, based on who's available, score, time, where you are on the field + down & distance. When you have a guy breaking off 5-6 yard runs on 1st down, especially when you're ahead in the game & your D is stifling them, you definitely run him again (& again & again) until your down/distance calls for something else. If no Bell, and we're not getting chunks running the ball then the offense changes. We saw how well the team can execute the passing game when necessary, especially in OT. What makes you think that can't be the case in different scenarios?

Our Defense helps us stay in and win many games, and sometimes that is all you need. Plus, like this past game against Utah if you have an outstanding Special teams that can make the difference also.
