For 99.9% of coaches I think it could negatively impact the program, but I doubt it hurts them. It will be interesting to see if the administration suspends him. They should. Letting a coach get away with a DUI sends the wrong message to students, esp for a faith-based school. A game or two would be appropriate. We'll see.

Not having his right-hand man in Lloyd to step in makes it a little interesting, but I just don't see this impacting recruiting at all. He has a long history that'll allow him to overcome any bad press when talking to parents, and I really doubt it'll impact the recruits.

Jim Harbaugh got a DUI and SDSU passed on him as a head coach. That said, his coaching career skyrocketed shortly thereafter.

I used to coach high school hoops for many years and would always go to the Nike Vegas coaching clinic. I have had the opportunity to meet Mark Few a couple of times, he was nothing but nice to our group. After the clinic we had a blast just sitting around a table having a pop or two just talking about all sorts things bedsides hoops. He was genuine a person as could be, I am sorry to see he got a DUI.

A buddy of mine was on his coaching staff a few years ago & I had the same opportunity to hang around & chat with Few when they were in town to play USD & again in Vegas. Really good guy & terrific coach, although my buddy described it as it's easy to be a great coach when handed the guys to a Lamborghini instead of Ford Taurus.

Then move it for God's sake. For me, yeah, as Gonzaga and UCLA are out biggest competition for BB in the West right now.

If the mods want to move it, they can do so. As I said, the fact that Gonzaga is out biggest competition out west for BB recruits I felt it warranted to be put it in the part of the forum most people on here tend to frequent.

Mr. Squeaky clean Mark Few was cited for a DUI yesterday. Not Aztec related, unless we manage to get a game, but given their the leading west coast program thought it was worthy. For 99.9% of coaches I think it could negatively impact the program, but I doubt it hurts them. It may even give an edge to that squeaky clean image that might appeal to inner city kids - "hey, Few parties!". (For the record a DUI is never good!) cdapress.com/news/2021/sep/07/gonzaga-coach-few-cited-dui/This is a personal issue, unrelated to anything involving SDSU or the Mountain West conference, San Diego. I see absolutely no value in digging into the personal life or worse celebrating a fault of a public person. Let’s be better and ignore this non-related random event that occurred in another state.

I thought he took his vitamins before he went to bed, at 9:00. Oh well. Bubble burst. I like Gonzaga.

I see absolutely no value in digging into the personal life or worse celebrating a fault of a public person. Let’s be better and ignore this non-related random event that occurred in another state. First, nobody is "digging" into Few's personal life. This is national news, 1st page on every sports-related national website. Last I checked this is a sport-oriented discussion board, especially when it comes to college hoops. Second, nobody is "celebrating" anything. If you want to "ignore" national sports news that's your choice. I tend to think any news that can potentially impact 1 of the top basketball programs on the west coast & a team that just 18 months ago we were battling for a #1 seed in the West, matters. Just don't pretend it's not national news or that many sports-related social media boards across the West, if not nationally, aren't talking about it.
