Never claimed or thought that I had any clout!! Then why the unnecessary "Pretty much what I said here, sorry that you're not in on it"...? Take the W. If you can’t figure that out then there’s nothing more I can say

When he comes back he will either play in the Outfield or Frazier will play in the Outfield. The Outfield is overwhelmingly our weak point on offense. We have five infielders who each hit better than any of our outfielders. Tatis in right field or center field solves that problem. We can sit the outfielder who is not currently hitting, that is currently Pham. Like earlier in the year, you give Pham every opportunity in the world to work himself out of his funk. You occasionally rest him, but doubt we see him sitting that much. When he's going we'll be unstoppable. Then who are you going to sit? With Nola being so hot he can find time at second or first. Our best lineup might be with Fernando in right field,Frazier in left field, and Nola second

Nola hasn't played a minute at 1B or 2B since his return, and don't expect him to. He'll be used as he's been used. He just may be catching 3 of the 5 SPs rather than just 2 like he started off doing. Myers can sit on occasion, Grisham as well & I'm sure Pham will get a rest every 10 days or so. But Pham's a professional hitter & typically an on-base machine, so you give guys like him every opportunity to sort themselves out, just like they did in April. You think long-term. Being in a 13 games/13 days stretch I'm sure we'll see all 8 guys resting on occasion, like Crone today. And I don't think they push Tatis too hard, nor do I think he plays in the OF every day. It's a nice problem to have though. Having too many is better than not having enough.

when Hosmer is gone he should move to first base like his father before him. That would be a huge waste of a very good Defender. He would be an outstanding Defender in the Outfield. you are stating the obvious. but he'll hurt himself in the outfield quicker than he will in the infield.

With 6-8 possible weeks left, he's likely to injure that shoulder again. The question is will it be the end of the season for him or just another speed bump. The Padres are a lesser team without him, there's no doubt about that. Full throttle now or save some for a "possible" post-season that might or might not happen if he's not sufficiently involved in the rest of season play?
He's not currently listed in tonight's lineup …

I'm sure they want to milk this and hold him out as long as possible.

Tatis, Jr. has had a rough week since returning home. In fact, it's been downright bad.
1 for 22 including tonight isn't going to get things done.
I wonder how much the combination of playing in the outfield and being worried about reinjury is affecting his play.
Could be just a slump, but he's really scuffling right now at the plate. 3Ks tonight. Wow.
