I don't know exactly why, but he reminds me a bit of JJ Obrien.

Looks like we are the best program (I may be biased) on the list so far

Looks like we are the best program (I may be biased) on the list so far I wouldn't disagree but given the momentum, assume some P-5s will come knocking too. The latest offers: SDSU, UNLV, TCU & St Louis does set the tone. He is really good, but not ranked as a 4 or 5-star player.

Gundo
Do you have a list of "events - tournaments " the AAU or Shoe Companies are having this summer ?
Also is there a recruiting calendar similar to other years ?
Maybe put it in a new Post

Aztecs currently have offers to a number of Compton Magic: - Elijah Saunders PF 6'8" - JQ Strong SF 6'7" - Dylan Andrews CG 6'3" (signed at UCLA)
We don't get many Magic players, as they are an Adidas team.

UCLA gets a bunch and they are not an Adidas school. Not sure how much that factors but it might some UNLESS you are a Power school like UCLA.

basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/shaw-s-takeaways-adidas-3ssb-league"...For me, Saunders was the breakout player of the day. Standing at 6-foot-8 with long arms and strong hands, Saunders did everything you want a four-man to do. Playing with the Compton Magic (Calif.) 3SSB team, Saunders knocked down two threes in the game. He rebounded strongly, with two hands, in traffic and he showcased some pop with multiple dunks and windmills. In talking with Saunders after the game, he has a line of programs who are recruiting him. He said he is hearing the most from San Diego State, UNLV, St. Louis, New Mexico, St Mary’s and San Jose State. Saunders will likely wait things out and see if his recruitment takes a bump to the next level and, after the way he played on Thursday, Power Five programs are sure to take notice....'

Recruitment: San Diego State, South Carolina and UNLV have made recent offers.(Plus today,Tulsa & DePaul) Fresno State, Loyola Marymount, New Mexico, San Diego, Saint Louis, UTEP and many others had previously offered. How he stood out: I'm not even sure that Elijah Saunders can really be listed in the sleeper category much longer, because he's certainly starting to rack up the scholarship offers. However, after watching him play with his high school in Arizona for two weekends at the Section 7 event and now with his summer team the Compton Magic, Saunders has established himself as a legitimate high major prospect. He plays with toughness, is a very dangerous shooter to the three point line and does lots of little things that don't show up in the boxscore. He's the kind of guy that could end up anywhere from the Mountain West to the Pac 12 and it would be hard to bet against him being successful at any spot he lands due to his mature approach to the game. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/LongFormArticle/Bossis-Best-Yohan-Traore-headlines-Adidas-3SSB-awards-167734276/#167734276_9
