I did not realize Frank Anselem might look to transfer. If he became available this could fit perfectly with 2022. Yes he plays the five. . Aztecs do have an open scholarship I believe and he could come in and play limited minutes this year or could red-shirt (bulk up) and still have 4 years to play. This would be a nice option to have with the depth they have already this year and the way this team is made up right now they are looking good for the next few years.

If he transfers it would be after the season, and that's "if".

For the Aztecs, two things we can count on for 2022 for the "5" spot: Demarshay Johnson (6'9" 215) & Jaedon LeDee (6'9" 240) both appear to be red-shirting. I wonder how long Cade Alger will stick as a walk-on (6'9" 195) he could probably earn a scholarship at a lower level DI & certainly DII school. The guy is more than an athlete w/ a 40" vertical.

We're deep at 4 & 5, by design this season, not sure if we would be high on his list even if he transferred

I would have him very high on my list if he wants to transfer. Best thing is the coaches already have a relationship with the Kid. He is going to look at his options and realize that possibility in 2022 when Nathan has a decision This would be a good option for Nathan If he leaves at the end of this year.

It would, but they've already started practices so it seems odd he'd transfer now. Plus, he wouldn't play at all for us this year unless Nate, Josh or Diabate get hurt - transitioning midseason while learning all our schemes would take too long. He will at least get PT with Syracuse, even if limited.

If Alger earns playing time I hope we offer him a scholarship. That being said, isn't he more of a 4 then a 5?
