Looking at the tv introductions for "opening night" tonight I see some people introduced that won't be here soon including the manager. So sad that they are trying to catch the Rockies rather than the Giants/Doyyers. Can you turn this around Jayce or are you just the fill in guy?

There's definitely some heat coming from his seat on the bench, and it could get even hotter - at least with the fans - if things don't turn themselves around … like starting tonight.

Not at this time. But his time will come… as it does for all of them. Whether it's sooner or later seems likely to depend on the outcome of the next few months, don't you think?

Not at this time. But his time will come… as it does for all of them. Whether it's sooner or later seems likely to depend on the outcome of the next few months, don't you think? Not even remotely, no. He just won a playoff series last season, the Padres lead the world in days on the injured list and have been plagued by a couple of really underperforming players below their expected stats. If they miss a wild card by one game, they aren't going to fire Tingler. The knee-jerk reactions on here are something without knowing the inner workings of the front office. Much of what happens in games is determined by people way above Tingler, FWIW.

Tingler isn't going anywhere, nor should he be for the foreseeable future, for many reasons.
