He was the president when I was attending state. If my memory serves me correctly he was well liked by the student body. I know he wasn't hated. Sad times for sure.

So much respect for Dr. Day.
He was tough but fair.
Never would have put up with the PC garbage going on campus today. He told the Faculty Senate to go pound sand many times while I was there.
He would listen to your argument , but rock solid in his own beliefs.
I think I changed his mind a grand total of 1 time ...to my credit I was right, to his credit it may have been the only time I was LOL!

RIP. He was a great leader for our school and I agree, he would have shut down the majority of the PC nonsense now happening

Agree, he was a great university president for SDSU. He was also a very strong supporter of athletics.

I put a lot of stock in judging a person by the sons and daughters they bring up. I remember Kevin Day from nearly forty years ago when he was summer help at one of Ron Fowler's beer distributorships. He was a kind and thoughtful person. I remember him fondly.
