Here's the original AJ Bramah thread from back in Feb/2021. Aztecs on the original list, but not on his short list. aztecmesa.proboards.com/thread/63103Bramah is from San Leandro High, School, CA. Same HS as Keshad Johnson, word is he will land at a Western school for his final year, to be closer to home.

"AJ Bramah, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound wing player at Robert Morris, announced last week he was entering the transfer portal while keeping open the option of potentially turning pro this offseason. Among the schools to reported to have reached out to Bramah are Arkansas, Arizona, Washington, Utah, UNLV, San Diego State, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Seton Hall, UConn, Tennessee and TCU, among others. Nevada also is on that list."
Well...we are closest to San Leandro on that list and the only CA school. 21 PTS, 10 REB per game in any D1 school is impressive - especially at 6'7". Mitchell/Shackel is inferior to Bradley/Baker/Bramah.

Only if one of Che, Keshad, or Arop isn't returning next season.
No 3 pt shot at all, apparently, so would play an under-sized 4, I assume.

The Sun devils continued to recruit over him, and lost him.

How many years does he have left to play ?
A PF at 6'7" that wants/likes to rebound and do some damage inside is as good as a 6'9 player who prefers to drift outside to try to make three pointers . Also like a 80 % FT .
Did notice the other P6 schools and Nevada after him

This guy might be good but I think the roster is already stacked. If the Aztecs land him then someone will transfer out and I don't want that to happen. Thats just me though.

Tons of pogo stick dunk highlights including one that stood out to me where he caught the ball underneath and quickly jumped up for the one handed tomahawk.
21 & 10 is rare in D1...he was 15th in PPG and 14th in REB but did not play 15 games to qualify for the leaderboard.

Some schools that formerly showed interest in Bramah before he committed to ASU below, High Motor, but as a wing he doesn't have a decent outside shot. Really is more an undersized 4 than a 2/3 SG/Wing.
Gonzaga UConn Seton Hall Utah Arizona San Diego State TCU Vanderbilt Tennessee Arkansas Wake Forest Washington Alabama Nevada St Bonaventure WKU Colorado State UNLV Cincinnati

That opens it up for your other shooters. His style of play and physicality would open it up for our shooters. Plus, I think he can shoot from three he just never did as he was setting up down low.

Is it that terrible for a player to realize that he is at his best near the basket - likes to rebound also means opportunity for offensive rebounds . Would any one complain if AG took less three point shots
80 % FT is also a major plus
If he has only played 2 years and has the "Covid year " to play an additional year sure looks as though he would have 2 years to play or .... ?
He is a 4 so doubt that Che , or KD would be directly affected but does mean Keshad could need to battle it out at the 4 and 3 position

Not a very subtle point you're trying to make with that "question" but yes, just fine. And if the staff knows for sure that one of our current PFs isn't returning, then this guy seems great. But unless someone is already leaving, then I think bringing this guy in probably results in someone transferring out. Would you bring in this guy if it means, for example, that Keshad Johnson wound up transfering out?

As many are suggesting we could be done recruiting
But if he has 3 years remaining could be an interesting addition - as Dutcher has said it is quite difficult to get quality guys that play well down low

As many are suggesting we could be done recruiting But if he has 3 years remaining could be an interesting addition - as Dutcher has said it is quite difficult to get quality guys that play well down low He has 1 year remaining. He's played a total of 2 games against "A" (top 50) teams and 6 more vs. "B" (51-100) teams. His eFG% in those games is sub 42% and he's not done well in those games overall. This would be a BIG leap for him. Against UNLV 2 years ago (2020) he went for 11,3 & 1 with 2 TO's & 4 fouls, and that's coming off the bench & playing against the likes of Vitaly Shibel. His only quality game against quality comp was back in November, 2019 (11, 6 & 2 against Marquette). I think we have a few guys on this roster if put on a really bad team in a really bad league would do really well, like Bramah.
