Must've been quite the fustercluck in Anaheim if he's willing to basically fill the same role in Chavez Ravine as he did at the Big A. He's getting the minimum from LAD, but he's still collecting from Anaheim, so that's a benefit.
Dodgers don't have much to lose in this arrangement. They gain a real stabilizer in the clubhouse, someone who may help them with pinch hitting, and possibly someone to spell Muncy at first every now and then. I hope he makes it to 700 HR, he's so close - yet so far.

Dodgers lose Seager to a broken hand. Big loss. Muncy plays third? (Albert still can't run fast enough anymore.) Tough loss for the Dodgers, but everyone's losing players right now - except San Francisco.

That regression is going to be...bouncy.

Tough loss for the Dodgers, but everyone's losing players right now - except San Francisco. They definitely haven't been hit as hard as other good teams, but getting Sanchez, La Stella & Solano back will help them. IMO, their sustainability will depend upon whether or not the old guys - Longoria & Posey, can continue to drink from the fountain of youth, and whether the league can figure out Gausman & DeSciafani, who IMO are improved pitchers compared to their past? They may fade, but IMO not as much as some may think. The other wildcard, in addition to Sanchez coming back, is whether Wood can continue to dominate? Right now he looks a lot more like 2017 & 2018 than 2019 & 2020. They may not have a traditional ace, but they have 3 work-like journeyman who can be very good, plus an innings eater in Cueto, who can also turn in a gem or two. The bullpen will be the interesting piece, but if their rotation can churn 6+ innings.....

They have played Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Texas, Colorado and Miami in a large chunk of their games. They haven't played the Dodgers once thus far, but that series is looming. They're hitting just .225/.314/.399 as a team. They have a team wRC+ of 99 and Posey's BABIP is .406, which will inevitably fade. They were the coup win total of the offseason though, between them and Arizona. I think the smoke and mirrors catches up to them eventually.

Interesting how all the talk heading into the year was about the Dodgers & Padres, yet both have been ravaged by injuries. Kind of has the j-word attached to it.

Pujols was signed for the pro-rated major league minimum. If he doesn't work out, they can always release him.

Of course, he’s not a real doc, but he was a pretty good player, and a fine manager ( before he went to L.A.). According to a 2018 research study, 52 days is the average time missed by players with injuries to metacarpals when struck by pitches.

As said in Junior's post, Doc Robert's was the one who said it and I'm assuming he talked to doctors, etc, about the time frame. Apparently, 4 weeks is the max as Junior stated as well.

The "floor" would be the shortest time, not the longest, and as noted in that post: "According to a 2018 research study, 52 days is the average time missed by players with injuries to metacarpals when struck by pitches." That's nearly 8 weeks, which is what AztecBill mentioned.
