His team was also 14 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor than off floor per hooplens. Huge get

Wooooooooo!!!!!
Terrific fit. Starter at SF, moves Johnson over to most likely to start at PF. Bradley at SG, Pulliam/Butler at PG and Mensah/Tomaic at C. Seiko, Dinwiddie, Evans, Arop (if/when healthy), & Diabate the rest of the bench rotation... "11 and a half deep."

Here's a very telling bit:
"Baker was attractive to SDSU for less tangible reasons, too. He’s a gym rat, as most SDSU players are. He’s an overlooked, under-the-radar kid with the proverbial chip on his shoulder. And he has a high basketball IQ as the son of a coach."

If he was a 2-year starter & an upper classmen, maybe, but he's still relatively raw. I think the only set starters are Trey, Bradley & Nate, with Keshad having a big edge for the 4th spot. The 5th could be anyone from Seiko, AG (assuming he can stay healthy for multiple weeks), Baker, Diabate & I wouldn't count out Butler, Dinwiddie or Evans. Do love how Baker is the son of a BB coach and has a high IQ! I'm assuming we're done, unless someone feels threatened & pops into the portal.

LFGooooooooo. Extremely high on the 2021-22 Aztecs
Pulliam/Butler Bradley/Dinwiddie/Seiko Baker/Johnson/Evans Diabate/Johnson/Arop Mensah/Tomiac/Demarshay
It would not shock me in any way if we had someone enter the portal. My only worry is SDSU's tendency to play older players over young ones even if the talent says otherwise. Butler needs high teens MPG at the least. Dinwiddie and Evans needs teens minutes. I'm sure Keshad is looking for 20+. Arop is a 15-20 guy if he's healthy.
We're LOADED.

Kenpom rated him better than all our players except Jordan last season.

Interesting chatter on the Dukes' board about Baker's temperament. Had three techs and a flagrant one last year, but their fans are high on his talent. Guess he had some serious issues with the staff there.
In one way, seems to go against the mantra of our staff but on the other, I love a guy or two with some edginess about them and we've missed that for awhile.

Again, don’t assume AG is going to play next year, there is significant doubt in the program... wishers about medical retirement...

Judging by Ziegler’s article we still might land the BC transfer. That would be unbelievable.

He was just not one to argue with. I do agree with you this is a good thing to have on your team.

Dutcher is having a very good offseason. True. You probably still understated it He is CRUSHING IT Couldn’t be more impressed on how all these ever changing transfer, eligibility and related rules change ... Dutch is very smart but with his “aw shucks” demeanor is a fiery competitor Love him

The kid sounds like a seriously driven hard core competitor ... he’s going to be a great fit
