Odd in that he played the "5" at TCU, but maybe they're seeking to RS him? Definitely not the perimeter wing we've been expecting?

Odd in that he played the "5" at TCU, but maybe they're seeking to RS him? Definitely not the perimeter wing we've been expecting? Has come off the bench for three seasons, no more than 16-20/minutes per game averages close to 6 PPG and 4 RPG shooting 53% FG% and 70% FT%. Log jam at the post.

he is a big get for us. I know nothing about him but I trust the sources I have. If they like someone then that’s all I need. They’ve been right about everything so far. Coaches are great at keeping their recruiting a secret.
In other news, Che, KJ, and Lamont have been working hard so far. Che and KJ are dedicated to filling that wing player we need. So don’t fret if we don’t land a wing transfer. We have all we need right here. Lamont is a beast. Good times are continuing!

Think he could be the guy Dutch alluded to when he said something along the lines of we'd take him even if he has the redshirt (due to already transferring). Definitely a log-jam at the "5" with 5 scholarship players + Algers capable, although LeDee may not actually be eligible. Does give us 3 moving into 2023, and that's assuming Nate doesn't seek an extra "free" year.

PS. He was extremely efficient offensively as a role player, and did drop 20 & 8 on W Virginia.

Maybe he hasn’t reached his potential and our coaches think after working with him he will reach it.
They have a really good track record of coaching up transfers.

Still have one to give, they are still looking at SF. Che old HS teammate is one of them.

Lee is a two-time transfer, Ohio State > TCU > SDSU so he will need to sit. Unless there are unlimited waivers. IMO, Demarshay Johnson, may red-shirt as well given the build up of post players. Front court - Log Jam Nathan Mensah 6'10 220 Sr. (SDSU) Joshua Tomaic 6'9 230 GTR (Maryland) Tahirou Diabate 6'9 225 GTR (Portland) Jaedon LeDee 6'9 235 Sr. or GTR (TCU) Demarshay Johnson 6'10 215 Frosh (HS) Cade Alger 6'10 200 RS Soph - Walk On (Seattle U)

Still have one to give, they are still looking at SF. Che old HS teammate is one of them. Technically we have 3 to give, given that Pulliam & Tomiac don't count towards the 13 allowed. But agree, Dutch has yet to go beyond 12, but if D Johnson & LeDee are targeted for RS's that only leaves 10 "active" players. Could definitely see him going with at least 1 if not 2 more.

I wonder about Arop's health, its been on & off since he got here. Che' had significant HS injury that dropped him back a year. IMO; Alger is the only walk-on with enough skills and experience to play any sort of minutes, should we need have 10 scholarship players.

Yea, if we go with 1 more scholarship & RS LeDee & D Johnson, that'd give us 11 "active" minus AG, who could miss 30-50% of the games, if not more for all we know. I think 10 "active" + AG should be sufficient, but you never know? Depends on who we add? Another note is that Bradley's had ankle issues last year, and rolled it twice causing him to miss games. Hadn't been injury-prone prior to that, but you never know about in the future after something becomes a "thing". IMO what we need is a 3rd year "Che", meaning someone in his mold who's a little further along the development scale. But if the coaches are comfortable with Evans & Dinwiddie playing 15+ next year then we're in pretty good shape. We sure don't need anyone "who can play the 5"!

He does handle the ball very well and hits his free throws! Is not a rim protector but does appear to have a high ceiling all around and looks pretty fluid. I remember Yanni not putting up big numbers before SDSU, we all know how that went.
Welcome Jaedon!

I thought that players did not have to wait anymore when they transferred?
Please help!
