Makes no sense at all... plays the same position as Bradley but not nearly as good a player overall. If he was 6'8" then maybe.

Sounds as though Darryl could play the role of DP3 in the 1-3-1 defense. I'd very much like to see that again.
I would also be totally thrilled to see Timmy Allen out there in that role.

Doesn’t really make any sense with Bradley committing yesterday. He was probably just a backup plan for us if Bradley went elsewhere.

Bradley is the only player on our roster that is a better all-around ballplayer than Darryl (and only because Darryl doesn't shoot well from beyond the arc). 4-year starter for a solid Maryland program. Averaging 28+ minutes per game for his career. 1,000+ point scorer. Career FG% of ~ 45%. Would immediately become the best defender in the MWC. I know you're in the DC area and have seen him play a lot... but I am a lifelong Maryland Terrapin fan, born in Silver Springs (going back to the days of Buck Williams, Albert King, Len Bias, Keith Gatlin etc etc) and would take this kid in a heartbeat.

I think a Big 10 DPOY can find a spot at SDSU, only wish he was 6'7" to 6'9' forward vs a 6'5" SG. He had shoulder surgery on 4/7, and going to take his time. BTW the NBA withdraw date is July 19th. This video "What went into his decision to enter the transfer portal, enter the NBA Draft & keep return to Maryland an option"

With Morsell in the starting lineup, we wouldn't have any reliable outside shooters other than Bradley, and that's a recipe for a horribly inconsistent offense. Really good player, but not a great fit with the existing roster. (yeah I'm in the DC area but I haven't seen him play at all so I admit I'm going only off stats & reporting)

He would seem to be a replacement if AG decided that with his health issues he no longer was going to play basketball

While they're close in height... Arop played mostly at the 4 and I don't think Morsell is a viable "backup plan" for depth at PF. I don't see any reason to push a narrative re. Morsell to SDSU.

Pros: He's played 4 years and was DPOY in the Big 10 a 6'5" stopper, mature/experienced.
Cons: Doesn't shoot the ball well, is testing the NBA waters, has until July to pull his name out of the draft.
Recommendation: Pass

Not sure why we are still talking about Morsell, he is not in the Aztecs plans, he was an option if Bradley didn’t commit.
