Musgrove getting pounded again in the second inning … a good way to lose a ball game. 55 pitches to get out of two innings. I don't think he's gonna get rescued by a grand salami tonight, either. I'll take the three that we got!!! Should have been four if the ball girl would've pulled her chair out of there with her.

Nonetheless, they didn't need a grand slam, they've pecked away at the 5–0 lead and tied it 5–5. And we'll see if Musgrove comes out to pitch the 5th. He's at 86 pitches already, but he's gone farther this season.

Really nice job by Joe to grind through innings and save the bullpen while the offense chips away. Kim with a nice double, Cronenworth continues to rake, Myers with two quality plate appearances. Offense looks dangerous if it can maintain consistency. Really interested to see if this is a harbinger of things to come with Hosmer on the bench.

Joe Musgrove really battled back tonight. Showed a lot of heart.

Ooops, yeah, I watched another replay and I saw someone grab their chair out of the way, and it did look more like the ball girl's chair. C'mon security guard!!!

C'mon security guard!!! Are the ball girls back to sitting on the field again? Through the last homestand, they were sitting on the other side of the wall.

I saw, in the replay, someone pick up a metal chair during the play, and got it out of the way. I thought it was the ball girl.

It WAS the ballgirl's stool, as they are back to sitting on the field. The security guard did have his stool in his hand (that sounds wrong ). I'm an idiot.

Hopefully, he at least washed his hands after depositing it in the trash can. Lol.

Just have to pray the ball isn't hit to him much. Kim can do the same except more with D than O, but will occasionally he'll come through like last night. Last night vs. a lefty was Hosmers turn for a day off, tonight it's Profar for Pham. I'd expect everyone to get subbed in & out, but think more so with Hosmer when facing lefties & Myers when facing a righty. I definitely could see that being more of a trend until either turns it around.

Profar is hitting and getting on base the way Pham was doing before we hit July. I have a feeling that as long as the offense keeps rolling, Profar get into games despite his outfield liabilities. Myers, Hosmer, and Pham (at least for July - he's 1-19) may see some time off.
Kim needs to see more live pitching, too. I'm convinced he could "catch up" to major league speeds if he sees some steady at bats. For now, he's still a big question mark as far as offense. No question, though, about his defensive abilities. I'd like to see more Cronenworth at first, bench Hosmer for awhile, and move Kim in at 2nd.
Looks like Grisham is leading off tonight… and Hosmer's at first.
Profar's two chances in the second inning tonight produced an assist and a putout, while saving a run at the plate. Small sample size theater, but I'll take it…

Hosmer's got his stroke back. That's a very good thing. When he's got it going, he drives in runs.

It's one game...so it's a stretch to say anything about his form. Whether I like him or not is irrelevant. He's been largely awful across the board on both sides of the ball for a long, long time. There's absolutely nothing to indicate that he's about to turn a corner from a statistical standpoint, unlike a guy like Manny, for example. Manny since June 1st, not including tonight, has an OPS of .974 and is crushing the baseball at a extreme clip, while raising his walk rate and lowering his strikeout rate.

I'm not talking about one game. He's around 5-11 with something like 4 rbi's in the last 4 to 5 games. I know enough not to say something like that after one game. It looks like he's getting his stroke back to me, and the radio guys noticed it as well if you take into consideration the last four or so games. If you can't say that your glad that he's starting to come around again, and you can't say anything good about it, then you obviously have an agenda against him. Put the team past your dislikes, if you can. Also, I would NEVER compare him to a Manny Machado. That's simply ridiculous.
