How long till he commits to USC? Should have gone their in the first place because everyone knew going east wasn’t going to last.

not sure if anyone watched the NIT, but Boogie played well and the defensive improvement was obvious. he would be a welcome veteran addition to the team,

Boogie vs. Baker is an interesting debate.
If only Boogie could bring his Memphis teammate D Williams - THAT guy can flat out ball & would be the PERFECT fit with Boogie on the Aztecs!!

He dogged us out the first time around so I not too confident that he will come home.

He dogged us out the first time around so I not too confident that he will come home. Why? Returning closer to home is often a big motivator for transfers. Many want to get away from home for a couple years, make a splash, then return to the "comforts of home". The question is whether he's driven by playing in a P6 conference (at a better fit than Duke) or driven to "bounce back", and which teams can provide him with the PT/style of play he's seeking within each of those parameters? Seems to me playing in the NCAAT isn't a motivator, as Memphis should (in theory) be very, very good if he returned. Unless he goes to a Gonzaga, Kansas, etc., he's going to have a tougher time finding a place that improves his odds. So another motivator may be driving him like a bigger stage (although he's tried Duke), or just the ego of being pursued/recruited?!

Previous top 5: Duke, Memphis, UNC, USC and of course SDSU. Not sure if he ever fulfilled his potential as a floor leader and shooter, but clearly his head and confidence didn't suffer.

A troubled kid now on his 3rd team in 3 seasons. Prime candidate for USC...they are a target for guys like that. No thanks.

Luckily the coaches have a better handle on whether or not he's "troubled" than anyone on this board (unless you're in his head or know him well personally?). The other way to look at it is he's been (or committed) to 2 places & now has a much better handle on what is & isn't important to him, and can now make a better decision. People learn; people mature. I don't blame ANY kid for being blinded by going to Duke (not a bad decision for ANYONE), nor to find playing for Penny appealing. I also don't blame anyone for wanting to branch out & get away from home. I also don't blame anyone for wanting to go back closer to home, if that's a motivating factor for them now.

Him and Lamont would be a good looking backcourt going forward. But I’d have to agree with others, I’d bet he lands at USC.

Boogie is a good kid and would fit nicely as an Aztec, the can shoot the three and in the right offense with the right guys around him he can defend and be a more efficient player... however, I haven’t heard anything on him coming here...

At some point you just have to realize that someone isn’t interested. And what if the fact we've had a long relationship means the 3rd time is a charm? Who cares if you've been turned down a couple times? Do you think our coaches egos are that fragile? USC's been turned down as well, should they take their ball & go home? Just like getting a date with a hot woman, persistence can pay off. They know the kid; they'll decide if he's someone we want on our roster, but there's no doubt we have a need for his talents.

I would love for him to be an Aztec I just think he's not interested and wants to play on a "Bigger Stage".
