I think he got the tiers right, and you can make an argument for any order within each tier. Think it's a pretty good overview overall. Agreed on the tiers, but we can rearrange the deck chairs. One thing that's constant, is writers are loving Colorado State. As they should, and they're not alone.

the writer seems to have nailed it . Would add that the exact order of the tiers could be determined when we get the MW schedule since I think they are going back to the 18 game unbalanced schedule .
Nevada and CSU have their starters back - major advantage - numerous are all MW selections . We lost the most of the Tier 1 teams but have probably the best transfer coming in Matt B
Key of course is health for each team
Looking forward to see the MW schedule and possibly as important OOC schedule for the schools

For anyone who cares, Former SDSU Aztec recruit, who played at UConn, UNM, Arkansas; Vance Jackson committed to East Carolina. Serious truck stop player...

At least he knows he'll get the rock. A lot. Bad, bad team and an even worse program with no hopes of getting better. Really hoped we would have landed Williams, but hard to tell if he's a good character guy/fit or not? He's going to help T Tech though.

Ex-SJSU Seneca White in the Portal, averaged 17PPG with SJSU, moved to LSU, on the move again never playing a minute for the Tigers.

Checked the portal today, no real MWC news.
But wonder where 4-star Jaden Shackelford from Alabama will land if he doesn't pursue a professional path.
The 6'3" 195 lb guard played at Hesperia High School. We have a lot of guys from the Riverside & San Bernardino area.

Given yesterday was the last day to enter the portal & be, in theory, eligible to play elsewhere next year, I doubt we see many if any MWC scholarship players enter the portal, and I doubt we see more than 1-2 transfer into the MWC given there are few openings. Non-committed scholarship guys leaving the MWC include Agee & Clarkin (SJSU), Brown, Ndaiye & Caldwell (NM), Gage, Hickman, Hart & Gray (FSU), plus Knight (SJSU via LSU) who's back in the portal just a few months later. The other 5-6 I believe were walk-ons, or at least DEEP bench scholarship players. The only ones which are potentially impact players if they stayed (or returned) to the MWC are Knight, Gray & Brown. But yea, there are some still out there who could be impactful if they joined the MWC. Only problem is by my count the only 2 programs with openings are us & Boise, plus AF's unlimited #'s. The P12 has some openings (Arizona, Utah, etc.). Stephon Mitchell being #1 for us, and not sure if BSU is after anyone. Just focusing on those with some connection to the West, Shakelford would make a HUGE impact and had a UNLV offer out of HS. Christopher (ASU) hasn't done well in NBA workouts (Bagley's gone), and haven't heard anything from Verge (ASU) so do they transfer out west? My guess is all 3 are going pro somewhere. Others - Hardy (Portland St, after UW), Finn Sullivan (USD - really like his game), Penn-Johnson (LSU, also after UW & reportedly was in So-Cal last spring) - just to name a few. I'm sure I'm missing some!? And of course I'm curious where Ed Chang ends up...UCSM & team with Joel??! 1700+ entered the portal thus far - not quite the 2000 some predicted, but still a HUGE amount. Most scholarship guys have landed, although some decent unknowns still available.

SJSU signed 6'10 transfer, Ibrahima Diallo from Ohio State. SJSU bringing in 10 new players in 2021/22.

Four teams in five years. SDSU recruited him hard twice. He seems like a good kid, but maybe the Aztecs dodged an over-hyped bullet with legitimate offensive skills who never wanted to be an Aztec in the first place.

What a way to end a mediocre career, once a high four star recruit, after 4 teams in 5 -6 years ending up in Greenville NC.

Transfer, so maybe he got a degree somewhere along the way.

Strange how you can attend that many colleges in a short period of time and still get your degree. That wouldn’t happen to most of us if we changed multiple colleges. Seems like it has worked out for him. Good luck young man.

About 30 hours remaining before players must remove themselves from the NBA draft in order to keep their college eligibility. We should start to see the last roster spots taking shape, including an answer on Mitchell.

I guess Mitchell would be able to play this year ? I think we are pretty loaded as it is with Mitchell it gets even better. I have huge respect for Coach Dutch but this will really test his skills. He should have all the talent he needs and players to fit every situation. Now he needs to make sure they play Aztec D, gel as a TEAM and keep everybody happy even those with limited playing time.

I don't think Mitchell is coming back. He will play overseas if he doesn't make a NBA roster.
