Close it down, Taeshon Cherry will finish up at Grand Canyon University in the WAC. Cherry's mighty fall, the PAC to the WAC. Who is the 2020-2021 WAC: they are Utah Valley, Cal Baptist, Tarelton State, Dixie State, Seattle U, UT Rio Grand Valley and of course NMSU. With Chicago State most likely leaving. In 2021-22 the WAC expands to Abilene Christian, Lamar University, Sam Houston St, Stephen F. Austin St & Southern Utah. www.wachoopsdigest.com/top-storylines-for-the-western-athletic-conference-as-we-enter-2021/Does the expansion make the WAC better, who cares. Abilene Christian beat Texas to knock Shaka out of a job, Stephen F. Austin St has been in the dance before, so perhaps. Top WAC Kenpom rankings #85 Abilene Christian 24-5, #103 GCU 17-7, #134 So. Utah 20-4, #148 NMSU 12-8, #151 SFA 15-8.

I reached out to my contact who told me about Z transferring when I heard he was leaving ASU. He said he hoped for our sake that he wouldn’t end up at SDSU.

He was at ASU working out during our Spring Break and making sure he had a place on the team. Might of been more clear if I said “Z transferring when I heard Cherry was leaving”.

Utah 20-4, #148 NMSU 12-8, #151 SFA 15-8. That's a pretty damn good landing spot for him. I was thinking it'd be UCSB or a place like GCU, and he steps into a good spot with Fraire's unfortunate death. The thing with GCU is they a) will outspend every other team in their conference, some by 2-3x, much like Gonzaga; b) they'll be strong favorites to win their conference & get to the dance every year he's there; and c) they'll schedule strong non-con, and actually have enough money to get decent teams to go to their house. Like with Norris going to UCSB this is a good move for Cherry. Will have a good HC as well, much better than he had at ASU IMO.

Sorry if posted elsewhere but Teashon Cherry's in the portal. Not a fan, and think he conflicts with Keshad, but... Pass!.... Next! (Fisher & Dutcher had a few projects in their early years trying to put this program together, and I don't think Dutcher wants to waste his time on anyone. He has the kind of people he really wants playing for him, and he doesn't need a monkey wrench thrown in!) Good Luck GCU! You may need it!

He's lucky GCU took him. Now, if he's changed and coachable, he'll help them win. GCU's a good program.

Do you mean 6'11", or 7'1", because you show 6'1" which isn't very tall.

From a 5-star HS to Pac12 USC > to> Arizona State >to> Grand Canyon in the WAC >to> NAIA (DIII) Marian University.
LATimes: A "person with direct knowledge of the college basketball bribery case" told Nathan Fenno of the Los Angeles Times that Foothills Christian High player and former USC commit Taeshon Cherry is "the USC recruit identified as Player-8 in the federal criminal complaint against Trojans associate head coach Tony Bland."
