Good comments about Johnson, would be a really good addition. Defensive minded can create his own shot, good mis-direction which allows him to get to the paint. Me likely. Now get me a big body dude in the post that can shoot as well as not get pushed around and we will be set for a while. I really like the three players that we are looking at this week and say the big boy, Lee we would be set moving forward. If Saunders says yes, then the Aztecs will pass on Lee, if Saunders passes on State then the Aztecs will push hard for Lee. If Saunders passes on us, I don’t think Lee will. What is important to a Big guy down low is the point guard and Lee follows the Butler. Like I said when was the last time we had that big of a presents (load) down low. Thanks Boise Aztec, your insights are usually spot on.

Always room for highlights, especially after an official visit to SDSU.

Another young man looking good in that Jordan gear. Hope to see him playing on the Mesa.

In my mind, from a program perspective, we’re head and shoulders above those other 2 schools. We’re rock steady and they’ve got all sorts of drama the past couple seasons. Fingers crossed, the kid’s a player.

I really hope you are right. Sometimes I think a kid will buy into a coach saying " Were close and you're the guy that can turn it all around"

AZ isnt even recruiting him. He added them to make his top 3 look cooler. It is def SDSU vs Washington. I have a feeling UW wins out, despite Boise saying him to SDSU is a done deal.

Hopefully the kid makes up his mind pretty soon. He would be a really good fit for us for next year. We would be set for a while if we land both Byrd and Johnson. Having a good PG is imperative and we would have two good ones with Butler and Johnson. I will stick on the Boise cart on this one.

Including AZ is weird, but then putting them in the middle to have WAS spelled out, signifies what is coming ahead.

I love how hard Johnson goes to the basket but I'm reminded of Butler's history of that also. He either got stuffed or didn't get a foul call so much of the first half of the season. Gotta have that outside shot respected enough to be able to blow by them on the perimeter.

So, about three or four weeks ago I was told that it was very likely, 85%… then about 10 days ago it was 💯 and expected to have him sign, it was expected before Elijah. It’s taking a little longer so maybe it’s not 💯…

That said, 1 major thing playing in our favor - Hopkins is on thin ice, so the rumor mill can't be helping them.

Hopkins was Pac 12 Coach of the year his first two seasons there in 2017-18 and 2018-19 with Lorenzo Romar's players. They were 5-17 last year and the previous year, they were 15-17 even with two NBA 1st-Round draft choices (#18 and #28) I watched a half-dozen of their games because of McDaniels and Hopkins never appeared to be in control of the games nor the players.

I watch all their games, and Hopkins has admitted he's gotten away from being the coach he wants to be & has been a little lazy with the players allowing for too much individualism & not enough team. He was "too soft". He's said he's changing that this year. I have no doubt he's a decent coach, but he definitely hasn't proven to be a good coach. Thybulle & Nowell can make a lot of average coaches look very good. I will cut him some slack for the McDaniel & Stewart (2 1st round picks) year in that before their starting PG went down (Green) they were very, very good. But as a coach you have to be able to adjust & he didn't. He didn't have anyone he could hand the keys to and as a result McDaniels made too many terrible decisions on the court & Hopkins did very little to correct that.

Does his top 3 tweet spelled WAS mean anything?
Jaden McDanials was a top 10 pick before his last season, does that mean anything about the coaching at WAS?
If Koren picks WAS, does that say anything about his judgement? Being a great point guard is all about judgement,

It is so inspiring when you are considering a team that before last year was 15-17 in 12 place and then last year he made a great improvement by getting to 11th place with a worse 5 & 21 record. Not headed in the right direction are they. The biggest concern is he wants to stay close to home and goes the Washington route. When every thing is said and done he will be getting 15 minutes a game as a freshman with us. One thing I sure as hell would not want to play for is a soft coach. How are you going to get better? When all is said and done I think he joins us.
