Have they been selling season tickets for Aztec Stadium already? I am very interested in investing in my first season tickets (I'd been in the band until '19 and now I have sustainable income)
Does anyone know what the pricing break downs will be for each of the sections. Specifically have they mentioned where the band would be? If it's like how it was at the Q, I'd imagine those would be cheaper seats since it's more towards an end zone.

They've been calling based on your priority points. I haven't been down yet but they called me last about club level seating. I'm more of a cheap seats guy so I'm waiting for that but rumor has it the seats won't be se "cheap".

Call the ticket office and see if you can get on a list to be called when seats are available for non-season ticket holders. Current season ticket holders will be getting first chance to buy. Like the basketball waiting list you may have to put up a non-refundable deposit.
When you get an answer, post it here. There are probably others who have the same question.

The band is probably going to be in the north endzone/north endzone corners as that is where the students will be. The south endzone I believe is where the family pack type tickets will be. I bought three tickets in West Club (most comparable to the old Club section at the Q basically) at around the north end 20 yard line and each ticket was about $3.2K. This is the "all-in" ticket price plus Aztec Club donation amount. They gave me the option to purchase either a 3 or 5 year commitment with an annual compounding escalation of ~1-2% after 2023. Field Club seats (most comparable to the old Plaza section at the Q) seemed to be around the $2.5K-$2.9K per ticket mark. There were also Club seats, not many but some, on the East side of the stadium that were cheaper still. The one caveat is that in addition to the annual commitment for the season tickets, season ticket holders (at least at my Club level, not sure about all season ticket holders) are responsible for a tax-deductible capital gift to the "Stadium Excellence Fund". For me in West Club, it is $4.5k per year over the next three years. After 2023, this capital gift is done and you're back to only paying your ticket membership. So for three tickets: 2021 - $4,500 (just the Stadium Excellence Fund) 2022 - $14,250 ($4.5k Stadium Excellence Fund + $9,750 season tickets) 2023 - $14,250 (same breakout as 2022) 2024 - ~$9,800 (no more capital gift/just escalated season ticket cost)

Well I have taken my first steps towards being a good alumnus and have ordered season tickets for the 2021 season. I might like to meet some of you and grab some beers so please let me know where you guys plan on sitting for this Carson season come selection time!

So I've been a Club level season ticket holder for 40 years. Last year was just under $400 per ticket all in. Now it's $3200 plus the "Stadium Excellence fee" of $1500 per ticket. Total $4700 per seat. Yep, I'm out. I'm sure even crappy seats will be out of my price range.
Funny. I've gone to road games the last few years in San Jose, Las Vegas and Fresno and got good seats in the $50-$60 price range. Maybe I'll just do that and watch the rest on TV.

Why don’t you just get cheaper seats in the new stadium as pricing for regular seats isn’t even out yet? You can’t have expected to have premium seats for $400. The worst seat in the house in the new stadium will be pretty comparable to the best seats in the house at the Q.

They are taking deposits on 2021 FB games in LA. Season tix holders that rolled over will be called later. They are contacting season tix holders that didn't rollover. Sounds like we may get to see our Aztecs ln person this year?

Sounds like we may get to see our Aztecs ln person this year? No we won’t get to see San Diego St. They don’t play San Diego. Maybe they could rebrand to the Los Angeles State team of San Diego. Hard pass on driving to LA to support any part of that move/decision. I support San Diego and my school here.

I’m sure you can find cheaper season tickets for a fine low end rate and/or resell tickets, excluding the first game, for a good price. Just keep checking. Most people cannot or won’t pay thousands for 6/7 games.

Wow, the stadium looks like it will be awesome. It will be worth purchasing a cheap ticket and hangout in the restaurant and view areas to take it all in.

I paid $4500 per year for 3 tickets to 10 games for the Chargers and our family had season tickets for 50 years, but that was for pro football with quality opponents over 10 games. Here we will be playing the CAL Poly, New Mexico St., and maybe one Pac 12 game a season with 4 games against the MWC. After the newness wears off people will not continue to pay these prices and let their seats go. We consistently struggled to get 15K in season ticket holders. This was not just because the stadium was old. Many times over the years I struggled to give my tickets away for free to some games I couldn't make when we played some of the also rans in the MWC and Football Championship Subdivision teams. I will wait and stub hub for now at about $200 a ticket which will be much cheaper than the numbers you are talking that I have heard as well.

Don’t be bitter and just get cheaper seats. We aren’t playing in a 72k seat dinosaur stadium any more. Don’t get mad that stadium economics aren’t like they were in the 60s just come join those of us in reality that are damn excited to be playing in one of the nicest collegiate stadiums in America.

This. There isn’t a single person in Aztec Nation who hasn’t complained about the MWC and dreamed of getting out of it. My recent visit to the experience center confirmed that Wicker is dreaming of it too, and he’s working on it. Among other things, he is trying to increase the athletic dept budget to $20 million per year. You can’t do that by selling $99 season tickets. Wicker knows people won’t pay P5 prices to see New Mexico and Reno, not for long. We all said we wanted a higher caliber of product, and it will be here eventually. But first we fans have to help fund the effort.

The young man who walked me through the experience center the other night said $20 million, but perhaps he meant only football.

You do have to admit it was kinda depressing going to that huge 1/2 to 3/4 empty stadium against MWC. But when it was Rocking it was a great place to be, I had my share of great times (and some not so great) This new stadium is going to be a whole lot different game day experience then the old place but I'm with many here waiting to see how this all pans out. I just can't justify the prices at this time.
