I had to check to see if it was April 1 when I saw this press release.
It’s crazy but good for me. I am going to buy season tickets.

If it helps get Aztecs Stadium up and ready for 2022, I am fine with it. Might be a cool novelty, and maybe it might draw some additional alums in LA area for games.

UT says 2 seasons this fall and next season too! What a crock of s#!t! TJ would of been better and almost as safe.

Not ideal but if it speeds up construction so we can open in 2022 and we end up saving millions in maintenance because of it then let's do it. Who knows maybe we will get some OC/LA alum to the games and maybe even get some kids to the games that end up wanting to come play for SDSU.

It’s not going to happen. So it’s really only 6 games in the fall of 2021. If it insures the new stadium is ready for 2022 then it’s worth it.

Piss poor planning if they all of sudden realized that they had to demo the Q to meet their goal, which after 40 yrs in construction I thought was a pipe dream. 1 week of rain is a month of delay, one dinosaur bone means weeks of delay, strikes, lawsuits....their timeline was miracle in making. Now with no Q it will most likely be 3 seasons in LA? Nothing like 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Not that there was any guarantee we'd be able to attend games anyway, but it's still very disappointing.

As a friend just said - I guess they gave up on the ONE CITY, ONE TEAM campaign?

As a friend just said - I guess they gave up on the ONE CITY, ONE TEAM campaign? Perhaps it was to support USD, as SDSU leaves town. I’m cancelling. Refund please

This sucks but I get it. If it brings us the stadium for the 2022 season then I'm all for it. Road tripping it up there and getting a change of scenery could be a little fun anyway

I'm cool with it. There is really no other viable option, and it should provide a way to expand the brand into LA.
Other local stadium capacities:
USD: 6,000. Cathedral: 5,000 Balboa: 3,000. TJ: 27,000, but that's not a realistic option with all the border craziness, a reluctance of many people (including me) to go to TJ especially at night, and it doesn't expand the brand.

If it's delayed a long time and now the bridges are burned since we demo'd the Q that'd be a big problem

Is it worth the cost and hassle to keep the rundown Q up for a potential six home games next fall? Hell no. We need to make a one year sacrifice. No big deal. Quit bitching. Games are awesome to watch at Dignity. You can drive the 110 miles up a couple of times next season without it killing you.
