The famous BLACK OUT game where not only does Penny and the team get a few extra minutes rest, but Chapman fools their defense with a play-action pass to his TE, David Wells, for the go ahead TD! Excellent and exciting game!

Excellent and exciting game! Another interesting aspect of that game was the battle of the Holder brothers (twins).

That sequence late in the 3rd quarter was a real eye-opener. Stanford drives into the Aztec Red-zone, gets a first and goal and SDSU holds them on 3rd down. You figure Stanford will do the Stanford thing and pound it in on 4th and goal, but they backed off and took the 3 points.
I was very surprised at that point. I thought: These guys are intimidated by the D.
What a great moment.

I like this video from the event. Say whatever you want about Stanford, but their fans know how to tailgate. One of the advantages of our new stadium could be that we won't have to party on a blazing parking lot.

Really? In that dump of a parking lot with all the Eucalyptus trees- not that I have ever seen.

A great win, a great night and a signal that this program had stepped up to the next level. Which is fitting since the lights went out that same night, as if Huitzilopochtli himself decided everyone needed a final wake up call that we needed a GODDAMN NEW STADIUM to go with our new-found success! Thank you, Huitzilopochtli, we heard you!
