Smokey's teams didn't have the win/loss record we would have liked, but they were always fun to watch. Smokey did bring a lot of excitement to the program. He will be missed. And exciting to watch too. Who wasn't on the edge of their seat wondering if Eddie Gordon from the free throw line was going to miss everything......except the floor. Season tickets at the Sports Arena, two for $90. Good times. Thanks for the memories Smokey. In the early 80's, they used to have a summer pro league up at Loyola. I was home for the summer and went to check out the games with a fellow Aztec. There was some guy throwing cinder blocks at the free throw line and I said to my friend, "that guy went to the Eddie Gordon free throw shooting school." Right in front of us was none other than Kieth Smith. He turned around and just started laughing.

I was fortunate enough to go to Patrick Henry High school with his son David and supported the good basketball team he played on. I graduated in 1984 while David graduated in 1985. My condolences on your dad's passing.
