Just got a call from Drew Turner of SDSU. The call dealt with the new stadium. It seems there will be both a zoom presentation and in-person meetings about seating possibilites in the near future. He was specifically talking about the higher end seats (boxes, etc.), but answered questions about other areas of the stadium.
I asked about the 2020 FB season. As we've heard, it's off for the Fall, but maybe will occurr in the Spring. Frankly, I'm doubtful about that. I forgot to ask him about hoops.

We have begun a systematic outreach to our most loyal Aztec Club members based on priority point ranking, which is the most equitable way to account for both lifetime and annual giving to the program. As part of this two-year process, we will introduce a variety of product options beginning with premium seating opportunities that will offer dynamic gameday experiences throughout the stadium. Our goal is to provide our supporters with the first opportunity to secure the best available inventory with a parallel objective of finding the right fit for each of you.
You will be contacted in the coming months by a representative from SDSU Athletics to provide an individual consultation either virtually or at our Aztec Stadium Experience Center scheduled to open next month. In the meantime, please visit www.aztecstadium.com for project updates and the latest renderings.

Got my call today and discussed the premium seating. No prices yet but I’m guessing between the donation Increase and ticket costs I’m probably going to be priced out of the running for those options. Nick will stay in touch with me. Really nice guy and no pressure at all.

Yes there will be seat licenses that will start at about $200 a seat to $100,000. I am not kidding that is the figure I heard from a very reliable sourece. I have had seats on the 50 for over 50 years and have a high priority but if there is a very high license fee I may be winding up on the 10 yard line.

Still wondering what the majority of the seats will be--bench seats? Bench seats with backs (a la Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas)? Individual seats (like the current stadium)?

Seat licenses don’t make any sense to me, from a buyer viewpoint

All seats will have seatbacks. Which doesn't answer my question. What kind of seats will they be?

I could have sworn he said there will be a combination of individual seats (premium most likely) and bench seats (w/ backs), but it's been a while.

Missed my call but got an E-Mail from a sales person. This person never glanced at my season ticket history and was only interested in talking about the purchase of 16 or more tickets. Something called the Founders Program and Luxury Suites. In other words hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sometime in the future when seating is more specific I would have the chance to see what was available for wheelchair seating. All this will be based on priority points and money given over the last decade or So.I guess I should be happy I was contacted at all.

If they are going to charge that much they better get Rocky back as defensive coordinator.

Pricing and sales for regular seating won't happen until 2021; everything now is focused on premium seating (suites, boxes, etc.).

Same deal. Wanted to sell premium seats and show the video. I had already seen the video so I asked him what the cost of my current seats would be. I sit on the 45 club and have had season tickets for 49 years and wanted to know how much for the same seats. I currently pay $525 per seat for the season (paid early). Said that they hadn't finalized the price but looked like between $2500-$4000 per seat for the season.

I got an approximate price of $3500 for seats near the 50 in the upper deck, plus the cost for the game tickets which would make it around $4000 per seat. Ay this rate I don't think they will sell many season tickets. I have season tickets for 53 years but I wont pay $4000 a seat. If I got it right every seat , even the very worst ones will have a license free of at least $200. I do not think they are being realistic about the seating.
