Watching Paddack give up three homer’s today against the Giants in another abbreviated outing with a big pitch count, the Pads need to figure out what’s going on with him.. Looks like his location is consistently off. That won’t help the team in the playoffs one bit. Deja Vu all over again. Substitute Cubbies for Gigantes. 6 pages of commentary about Paddack and his problems, and nothing's changed through six pages, including Paddack … 15 swinging strikes, got squeezed multiple times and the Bryant home run is probably not a home run in 29 other parks. Missed with location to Baez, a good bad ball hitter, but I thought the curveball was the best it has been this season.

Definitely got squeezed quite a bit, the winds blowing out as well, but he missed his spots with his chadnge up, and fastball too much today. The Cubs have hit 5 home runs today.

I guess if we're going to ignore everything but that, you're never going to feel satisfied.

Still another subpar outing and another loss. Following 2 straight quality starts. It happens. It's how he bounces back. He was good his last 2 starts, as you said. Looking forward to his next start for a bounce back.

Chris had a forgettable first inning, but the Padres sure stepped up to the plate for him in the bottom of the first tonight.
Tough outing - and an even more forgettable first inning for the Arizona starter. 108.00 ERA for the night if I did the math correctly. It jumped his overall ERA to 10.69.
Ouch.
Paddack's having a forgettable second inning as well. Good grief.
Poor consistency on location tonight. Unfortunate. I'll be surprised if he lasts through the 5th 4th 3rd inning. Better luck next time. (but tonight should've been a gimme)
Wow. He just didn't have it tonight.

Hopefully he'll bounce back with multiple good starts just like after his last bad start.

Paddack was money yet again. That's 6 solid (5 QS) starts in his last 8 starts.
Great to see the team take the loss off him with the comeback.

Great way to start the game: Hit batter, Single, Homerun.
Talk about digging your own grave … it looks just like his start on Jun 25th - the one where he didn't make it out of the 3rd.
I'd like to like see him progress this season; his continued inconsistency sure isn't going to help win a ticket to the post season.
If this was an occasional, bad outing, OK … but it's become a bad habit. Tonight we see the Bad I Got Nuthin' Paddack (again).
And the Dodgers lost again.
Apparently, Paddack will need to take one for the team tonight. Tough day in the majors. Hate to see another game just thrown away, though.
Here come the BOOS…
P.U. He really stunk the place up tonight. Luckily, he won't be up again before the ASB. He's got some work to do right now. Good luck.

Kudos to Nabil Crismatt.
5 innings out of the bullpen tonight. Really saved the bullpen.

He's back in relief.
And There it Goes!
Couldn't get through the inning without giving up a home run. At least that happened before he gave up two more base hits.
With Padres offense at a premium (again), they just can't afford to give up any runs because of lousy fielding or missing on pitches. Too bad, but that's the way it is.
And if the Padres can't beat the Rockies - at home - there's a bigger problem than the one that once famously involved Houston … (and I'm not talking about cheaters and trash cans, either).

Chris I Got Nuthin' Paddack is back in there again. Six straight balls in the first inning. This clown just can't pitch. If he ever could… throwing, fine. But he can't pitch. Why the Padres keep him around is beyond me.
And there it goes - AGAIN
A three-zero lead thrown away.
Good grief is this guy ever worthless in the first inning. Seven pages over several seasons of him flailing away on the mound. It's time for him to make better pitches or for the Padres to cut the cord.

Amazing. The boys give him a 3-0 lead and he throws it away with the first 3 hitters he faces. With this type of performance there will be no wild card spot for the boys.

Padres offense is at least hanging tough. But how many runs will they ultimately need to score as long as Paddack's on the mound?

Slam Diego isn't as frequent so far this year but still does wonders to see.

Very lucky for Paddack that the Padres found their hitting shoes tonight and used them to kick the stuffing out of Washington. It's a good night to start putting in the reserves.

One cycle already and Pham just needs a triple for a second cycle.
