These stories are just awful and so heartbreaking. It sure seems The Hobos can't catch a break. As much as I hate New Mexico and their fans this one is tough to read and hate seeing this happen to the family and the Lobo program.

From the Santa Fe paper. And, of course, I sound like an old dude, but what are a bunch of teens doing partying together inside a house at 3:30 a.m. during a freaking pandemic? Ugh.
* * * *
Authorities arrested 16-year-old Estevan Montoya and charged him with first-degree murder in connection with White’s death.
The sheriff’s office said Montoya shot White around 3:30 a.m. during a fight at a party in Chupadero.
White was rushed to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
In addition to murder, Montoya faces charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a handgun and negligent use of a deadly weapon, according to the sheriff’s office.

Such a sad story. You know what they say, nothing good happens after 12:00am. With the way the world is now, I assume everyone that I may have a confrontation with has a gun. So, needless to say, I stay away from confrontations. I've practiced that for awhile now.

Hate seeing a young man lose his chance to develop into whomever he was meant to be. Prayers to his family and sympathies to the Lobos program.

Nothing good happens after midnight. It's tragic for everyone involved from the victim, to the witnesses, to their families, as well as to the shooter who is only 16 and will likely - as Sir Paul put it - never see no one nice again.

Here is the Go Fund Me link. Aztecs offered, but he choose to stay home with his mother and family. www.givingzone.com/project/1S9PO3Acob/jb-white-foundationThe JB White Foundation's focus is on helping and giving underprivileged kids opportunities to be successful in life. It was created in loving memory of JB White. JB was tragically taken by gun violence at the very young age of 18 years old. Fedonta “JB” White was well known as an elite basketball player. He was ranked as a top 2021 100 recruit by ESPN. He was bigger than basketball though. He filled the lives of his friends and family with his purest heart, amazing smile and sense of humor. He was an affectionate kid, and didn’t hesitate to tell you he loved you. He loved to dance and make people laugh.

Guns aren't violent, they are inanimate. People can be, though. 100 percent correct. and here we go, this is the fork in the road where this one becomes really political and off topic.
