Playoff odds now have the Padres at 77.7%, third highest in the NL. www.fangraphs.com/standings/playoff-odds/By the way, FanGraphs, with the shutdown, is hurting like a lot of other places. Highly recommend a subscription there. Memberships start as low as 3 dollars a month and they produce some of the best content.

And...the Padres come from ahead to lose tonight, 7-6 to the Giants. The bullpen laid an egg tonight. It happens.

Offense once again shut down by a marginal reliever....and the bullpen cracked.
Big game tomorrow.

Stammen is such trash. Never a fan.
Stammen throws fastballs that don’t move whatsoever. Straight as an arrow

Pads two losses this year are by a total of two runs. The boys are going to drop a game or two but they are playing some really good baseball right now, top to bottom

Well, the Padres tried to come-from-ahead-to-lose again tonight, but they got to extras and got a TD. 6 in the 10th, to win 12-7.

Thought Tingler mismanaged the bullpen badly last night. Why was Perdomo left in to face lefthanders when Pomeranz was ready to go in the pen?

Thought Tingler mismanaged the bullpen badly last night. Why was Perdomo left in to face lefthanders when Pomeranz was ready to go in the pen? Pomeranz wasn't ready to go when the inning started and Perdomo had an easy 6th inning. Tingler's trying to give as much rope possible to see if guys can work out of jams. With the way that the schedule is configured, guys are going to have to be stretched out. It's a fine line to walk, but a necessary one.

According to the reporters on radio, Pomeranz was ready to go but that’s a discussion past usefulness at this stage. Pagan again was questionable as well. I guess he’s waiting to save Yates for the last few gamez😲They only play 60 not 162 so he shouldn’t have to worry about overusing anyone!

You can't use Pomeranz 5 games out of 6, for example. The team is off August 6th, then doesn't have another off day until August 24th. You also have to plan for the fact you're going to Coors today. Perdomo had a 5 run lead to work with. I think the idea of removing him at the start of the 7th is pretty silly and hindsight oriented.

Sorry, I don't know what you want me to say. I'm not a results-oriented guy, myself. I can understand your perspective though as a fan.

Personally, I thought it made perfect sense to bring Perdomo back in the 7th. A quick 6th inning earned another inning of work. Unfortunately, we saw both the good (6th inning) and bad (7th inning) Perdomo last night.
