Kinda smallish sized, but excellent veteran leadership. Seniors lead the way.

Mitchell? Didn't he take his talents to the next level?

Looks like a solid 7-9 deep of proven players, with 2-3 high potential question marks.
Starters: - Gomez - Pulliam - Schakel - Mitchell - Mensah
Immediate rotation: - Seiko - Arop
Top rotation: - Tomiac - Johnson
Next up: - Butler - Evans - Dinwiddie

Mitchell? Didn't he take his talents to the next level? Only testing the waters. Almost for sure will be back.

Those first three freshmen in the list will be heavily needed in 21/22.

looks like the walk-ons had enough for their own squad.

Traditionally, as far as I know anyway, schools will leave those players on their roster until they have either hired an agent or declared that they are definitely not coming back.

Would guess if he is enrolled at SDSU for summer or fall - he would be on the roster until he tells them differently think he may have until around Aug 3 - not sure of exact date as things change
last year our starting guards each played 30+ minutes a game this year things could be different - maybe guards by committee this year or as needed
We should have good players at the 3 position and very likely at the 4
Major question is at the 5 - How healthy is Nathan and has he developed as a player on both ends on the court - we know he is very good at defending the rim - but sometimes makes some fouls that take him out of the game early . Can Joshua provide decent back up TBD
do wish they would change the rule about players only able to wear jerseys with the numbers 0-5
Any one know if there were any rule changes going into the season ? Or s it every other year ?

Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think this means Mitchell is coming back for sure. Just that the door is still open. Based on everything matt has said I think he’ll wait till the last second to announce and he’ll likely be back

Starters: - Gomez - Pulliam - Schakel - Mitchell - Mensah Immediate rotation: - Seiko - Arop Top rotation: - Tomiac - Johnson Next up: - Butler - Evans - Dinwiddie I'd basically say the same, except I think Tomiac is more immediate rotation (he'll play behind Nate), and I'd slide Seiko down a notch. I think either Arop or Johnson fall into the "first off the bench" category, along with Tomiac. The "first off the bench" vs. "also in main rotation" is dependent upon whether Dutch makes wholesale changes or just blends the subs in? Hard to predict. First off the bench: - Tomaic - Arop or Johnson > In this scenario I think if it's Arop or Johnson we could see Matt/Jordan slide down a spot with either Gomez or Pulliam still on the floor. Also in main rotation: - Arop or Johnson - Seiko or Evans or Butler or Dinwiddie > I think Dutch sticks to a 9-man rotation, and we'll see a lot of Arop & Johnson, with the 9th spot being a guard of some type. In a perfect world Seiko would slide into the #2 spot as a 3 & D specialist, but if we need more of a ball handler we could see 1 of the FR emerge. I think that 9th spot basically comes down to the weaknesses at the other spots. Do we need more D, ballhandling or shooting in the rotation, which could come down to who's in foul trouble, etc.? Next up: - Seiko/Butler/Evans /Dinwiddie The "perfect" roster would probably also include a FR or SO transfer big who'd sit this year & could step into the rotation next year. However, if the transfer waiver rule comes into play there will be many candidates for that same spot next year.

I'm guessing it was posted as a reference to a couple of the WO's on the roster, and what all 5 WO's will thrive to be. Hoping at least 1 of the Broughton's will have a chance to suit up this year - they both can play, but my guess is it'll be Barrett, Alger & Mohar.

I'm sure you're right, but I thought that Seiko did so well last year that he would be hard to keep off the floor. It looks to me like a logjam with Tomiac, Arop, Johnson and Seiko, except that Seiko is the best ball handler of those guys. All in all, a good problem to have!
