Okay with the president's lack of empathy against victims of police violence? Hmm, Trump passed an executive order on police reform regarding brutality. I figured the reasonably aware already knew of that and I didn't think I needed to remind them of that. The subject and take away of this thread, however, has nothing to do with Trump, just as the crimes against Floyd or Brooks have nothing to do with Trump, except in woke world, of course.

Nice deflection. You might want to read the actual executive order. It changes very little, it's not some sweeping reform in the slightest. A paper tiger with zero bite. How about the marginalization of the gay community? How about "shotgun blasts to the face" like the president tweeted this morning? How deranged does someone have to be to back this lunatic STILL?

Because your agenda is very clear - Impugn the "leftist elites", the BLM movement, all things leftist and use fancy words like virtue signaling, while ignoring the fact the coward you support is turning this country into a firestorm of hate, racial divide and bigotry. If you had it in you to be somewhat remotely cognizant of that? You wouldn't need the reminders. But you're not willing to stick your neck out to get to the truth, you'd rather blame Antifa than the radical right movement, liviing in the bubble of what Tucker tells you.

The hypocrisy of you ignoring the obvious issues brought up by the tweeted video exposes your faux outrage - simply a political partisan that does not really care about black lives. Where are your posts about black lives relative to their deaths by violence from other blacks? Where is your solution there - other than electing someone other than Trump? Spare me the lectures.

Somehow I don't think you care about black on black crime. A political tool to draw a false equivalency to justify systemic murder and racism. That's why I don't care to comment on some random video you found, really. The answer is REALLY nuanced. Socioeconomic conditions are everything. The correlation between crime and poverty matters. But yeah, some level of a non-idiot in the White House would be nice on this issue.

That black on black violence within the big cities have causes that defy the attitude or policies of the President and solutions lay elsewhere. See Chicago when it was governed and managed by a Democrat President, Senators, Congresspersons, Mayor, Council Members & Police Chief and a Democrat controlled Police Union if you doubt that. The tweet exposes that truth.

No one is trying to justify police brutality but do I understand that when anyone has a take different than the woke, they are often called racists by that crowd. Question, if the man who made the video in the tweet above is black, is he also a racist? Or is he just a supporter of police brutality?

It's not about being "woke"...It's about common sense. Racism in any form is bad. The person in the video is trying to draw an equivalency that doesn't exist.

So you are against ACA-5 and giving CA the ability to discriminate by race?

Racism in any form is bad. So you are against ACA-5 and giving CA the ability to discriminate by race? While potentially derailing the thread, I have to say that I was disappointed with SDSU on this subject. The SD Union Tribune asked representatives from the area schools about their position on ACA-5. UCSD - NO: I am opposed to writing into government code or law criteria that assign individuals to particular racial categories along with rules that treat people differently on the basis of their racial designation. USD - NO: While I applaud the intentions, any discrimination towards one group will discriminate against others. Universities have every right to be proactive in recruiting minorities that meet their admissions criteria, and many do just that. What we actually need is the provision of extra resources to our public schools, starting in critical elementary years and continuing through high school, with smaller classes, extra support and counselors for disadvantaged children, along with firing bad “tenured” teachers and rewarding good ones. SDSU - no comment
