That's the question you have to ask after hearing Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh in a recent interview state he wouldn't care if his team played in a stadium without any fans at all. He said when asked the question of whether he would want to play a game in huge Michigan Stadium either with or without fans. He also mentioned that all his players would answer the same way when he asked them. Did he ask them , or tell them that's the way to answer? Hmmmmmmm. It could be that he doesn't want to play in the stadium with fans because since he can't win the Big games (like vs. Ohio St.) he may be afraid he would get yelled out of the stadium by his own fans. So, by not having them there it would be easier on him. That's not winning your fans over very well, Jim.

He said if it came down to NOT PLAYING or playing in an empty stadium he'd take the empty stadium. That makes perfect sense to me, and yes, I'd expect all his players to feel the same way. I think most fans do as well. "Heck yeah, I'd be comfortable coaching a game without any fans," Harbaugh said. "If the choice were play in front of no fans or not play, then I would choose to play in front of no fans. "... Darn near every guy I've talked to on our team, that's the way they feel about it."

By not saying anything to placate the football fans of Michigan it does sound like he does not care too much what they think about it though.
Like I said, "All the players on his team who said the same. Did he really ask, or tell them what he wanted them to say?" No one knows for sure.

Do you actually believe any player would choose to not play over playing in an empty stadium. Think that's a safe bet and have no doubt every player or fan he talked to would echo the same. Who cares if he "placates" anyone. There were 2 choices presented - play in front of an empty stadium or not at all. What answer would placate them more? Think he answered correctly.

I think you missed my original point I was trying to make. It was, "Does Harbaugh Care About Fans?" Doesn't matter much if he and all the players wish to play in an empty stadium. So What? They can if they wish. But, the original question still has not been answered, yet.

IMO wanting to play shows he actually does care about the fans. I'd hope Hoke would answer the same question in the same way, and I'd believe 100% he had the fans interest at heart when doing so.

That's right I asked the question, and there is soitenly no law against it! Doesn't matter who asked it! Like I said the question I asked still has no answer. Maybe someone should ask him. If, that happened he probably would blow up on the spot!

If, that happened he probably would blow up on the spot! Why answer a question that makes no sense? Its blatantly obvious he cares. I'm guessing nobody else has asked the question because they actually get what he's saying.

Never mind, sdcoug, you really don't get it do you? It's no more true that Jim Harbaugh doesn't care about fans than it is you're Aztec Mesa's village idiot.

Never mind, sdcoug, you really don't get it do you? I get it alright. You hate Jim Harbaugh & simply want to read something into it that's not there. Hell, you even misquoted the whole situation, saying it was a choice of playing in a stadium with or without fans, which wasn't even the damn question. Again, here's the ACTUAL quote: "Heck yeah, I'd be comfortable coaching a game without any fans," Harbaugh said. "If the choice were play in front of no fans or not play, then I would choose to play in front of no fans. "... Darn near every guy I've talked to on our team, that's the way they feel about it." Given the choice between NO FOOTBALL & football in front of empty stadiums what would you choose? What do you think the players would choose? Who has actually talked to players & who hasn't? I think you're the one who simply doesn't get it. You're just taking your hatred of Harbaugh & throwing $#!+ at him that's not even there.
