Even though I know the Aztecs have a better chance to get good transfers than in the past, when the real blue bloods jump in, I pretty much know they're most likely not coming here.

Not looking so good for the AZTECS: Wildcats getting predictions for Frank Anselem; ‘They want him badly’ Is Coach Cal and his staff going all-in on Anselem? Kentucky is without a recruit over 6'9" but has also called Anselem a "program guy" i.e.: a project. However, with the one-time transfer vote is still up in the air, but there is no guarantee that Kentucky would be able to land a transfer if it passes, so that would explain why Anselem has quickly become a priority. If Kentucky lands Anselem, he would likely be a developmental project who can come in and play 10-15 minutes as a freshman, develop, stick around for 2-4 years, and eventually become an impact starter, or at worst a serviceable backup for more depth. It sounds like Bull $#!+ to me Meaning Kentucky is small this year and needs a big on the roster, If the press is 10-15 minutes none are guaranteed www.aseaofblue.com/2020/4/28/21239996/kentucky-wildcats-basketball-recruiting-predictions-frank-anselem-recruit

Good company, and impressive that we're the only one to get consideration out west.

I'd be more impressed with our inclusion if Western Kentucky (?) wasn't in the mix.

Interesting to look at who we're going against. By my records, all have open scholarships except Syracuse, but may have missed something. Doesn't matter - he wouldn't have anyone in his top 6 if they were conditional offers IMO. All are good, successful teams, just at different levels. Kentucky - blue blood who is desperate for bigs, especially if transfer market doesn't open up on May 20th. Nobody over 6'8, but he'd still be a project, and eventually he'll get recruited over (if not this class then next) Seton Hall - Obiago is expected to start, and have 3 guys 6'10+. Probably a spot guy if he goes there. Arkansas - Vanover (to be soph) & Williams (to be FR) are both highly rated bigs & both are young, but Arkansas is near hometown in Georgia Syracuse - Sidibe should be starter; Edwards, a to-be soph will likely backup & have Ajak, another 6'10 guy. Where would he fit in & seems across the universe from California or Georgia Western K - big fish in smallest pond, although they have Bassey, a 6'11 5* PF on their roster. But most likely to make immediate impact here IMO. SDSU - closest to Prolific prep, so possible we saw him the most. Only Nate on roster, but may be seeking a GTR big as well, so potential role may not be defined. But could see himself stepping into a Nate type of career, albeit (hopefully) a healthier version. More likely to shine than at Kentucky or even Seton Hall. Should be interesting!

I'd be more impressed with our inclusion if Western Kentucky (?) wasn't in the mix. Western Kentucky has one of the best recruiting staffs in the country. That being said all the hints suggest Uk here

I'd be more impressed with our inclusion if Western Kentucky (?) wasn't in the mix. They have a couple 4* players & a 5* player already on their roster. CUSA definitely isn't a good conference (1 bid only), and a big step down from even the MWC, but they recruit a lot of good talent to WK.

Rick Stansbury has 375 career wins and 12 postseason trips as a head coach to his credit at Mississippi St (HC), Texas A&M (AC to Billy Kennedy) & Western Kentucky (HC) and SEC COTY in 2004 at Mississippi St.

Some interesting things to read in the article Gundo has for Frank A - being recruited by Kentucky
NCAA Board Directors has suggested to NCAA Council that they table the immediate Transfer - No Sit Rule - they will vote mid May So schools that are counting on the immediate transfers for 2020-21 season may not get them . But vote is up to the NCAA Council
Kentucky sees Frank as a recruit for Them that will be a "project " player that may take 2-4 years to reach high potential - as Coug has suggested he would very likely be recruited over - usually happens at the high level schools -so
Kentucky is hoping that Oliver Sarr - 7 ft is able to become a transfer that would not have to sit since Wake Forrest fired their coach recently - he has said that he will not sit a year would go to another country if not able to transfer and play.
Also a top 2021 recruit Mousse Cisse expects to reclassify and Kentucky is high on his list of schools
Think Kentucky has recruits Lance Ware 6'9" and I. Jackson 6'9 coming in - plus had Nick Richards 6'11" , E. J Montgomery 6'10 , Ben Jackson 6'9" on their roster last year not sure about what their plans are for 2020-21 - will depend on who they are able to actually bring in for 2020-21 season
Kentucky finds a way to bring in top guys to their program - not all stay
We also know how Musselman with Arkansas really sells recruits

Anselem previously had a final (3) of LSU, Georgia and Alabama before declaring his recruitment ‘wide open’ on April 18, none of those schools made his final (6) Arkansas, Kentucky, San Diego State, Seton Hall, Syracuse and Western Kentucky.

Kentucky is going after Olivier Sarr hard. I'm assuming if they get him, Anselem would be less likely to commit there.

Yes O. Sarr( 7ft ) has put his name into the transfer portal -and Kentucky is going after him- per articles he is hoping to get a waiver to play next season - if not he says he will play in the Euro league( he is from France) - not going to sit a year
Kentucky also trying to get Moussa Cisse to reclassify from 2021 to 2020
High major programs do continue to recruit over guys

Hopefully we get Anselem, I think him and Williams are our primary big man targets right now. Anselem looks extremely fluid, good footwork and body, great length and athleticism. Would love to have him come to the Mesa.

Kentucky wants Sarr AND Williams and maybe will even get them. Everybody sees how many Kentucky kids get drafted. What they don't see is how many Kentucky kids get buried on the bench and often get buried again the next year by a whole new crop of 5-Star recruits.
Although Williams is lost, he may help us get Anselem.

Kentucky laying claims to Prolific Prep's Frank Anselem Program guy is like saying project who most likely will get recruited over every year. Come to to team where you can start and with the new transfer rules you can transfer to p5 if you want after Your freshman year

These A$$holes want EVERYBODY: Williams, Sarr AND Anselem. I almost hope they all go there and end up with limited playing time.

Kentucky would also like to add M. Cisse if he reclassifies to 2020 - almost a triple double last year in HS - points- rebounds and Blocks - best defender and rim protector
would not mind at all if Frank Anselem would come here rather then the other schools
