The4-star, 6'10" 2020 Prolific Prep Center from Napa, CA re-opened his recruitment, previously his Final 3 represented: Alabama, LSU and Georgia. Top 100 player. Before his announcement to reopen his recruitment, LSU had 100% of the eight projections for Anselem in the 247Sports Crystal Ball. Before Pro Prep he grew up and played HS in Shannee, GA. 247sports.com/Player/Frank-Anselem-46055566/

I don’t see it happening but it would be a game changer.

I don’t see it happening but it would be a game changer. Yeah, the chances seem slim, especially when he say his old final 3 are still in the mix.

And there are real minutes and PT at SDSU with the USAT COY, Dutch plus we crushed it last year at 30-2 and ranked #6. We have a bigger platform to work off of than in the past. He played HS in CA, maybe he want's to stay?

Would be a nice add, but still think we need an experienced big who can actually step in if Nate goes down for an extended period. We would not want to run with an unexperienced FR.

exactly need to try for a quality guy that maybe 2-4 year player and a guy that could play this year . Not easy getting quality guys that can play the 5 position

Not easy getting quality guys that can play the 5 position Its not easy getting quality players who can play any position, yet we always manage. We've landed some very good 5's over the past few years, both via recruiting and via transfer, and have a very good one on the squad. Have no doubt we'll find another Yanni, Nate, Rooks, etc. type who be quality insurance for Nate.

yes we have but with Nathan's health - and no other player on the roster as of today taller then 6'7" there is a definite need to land one for 2020 or beyond
Not as easy as some other positions and competition is fierce

The Frank kid would be a game changer for us. With his top 3 still in the mix I would have to say our chances are unlikely unless we can find the link that gives us a chance. I think we might have a better chance with Eduardo because he noted the improvements made by players that go here.

Kentucky is the favorite right now.

Kentucky is not the only school after him, Seton Hall, Oregon, Syracuse, West Virginia, Texas making a push on Ansalem, per wrier Adam Zagoria.

Playing arm-chair recruiter, but I wonder if the staff reached out to 3-star 6'11 Jaylon Gipson, who decommitted from Wake Forest, when Danny Manning was fired. Aztecs nationally ranked, COY with Dutcher and a more stable program. Option? I know he has many regional options in the South East/Mid-Atlantic states. But he could step into real minutes at SDSU.
