It's the smarter choice for him. It'll help us in the long run become a destination for quality guard transfers, but this sucks for us next year

Writing was on the wall for a while, should still be a top 20 team as long as everyone else returns. Just need one more piece now in the frontcourt.

Not surprising. I think most people figured he would do this.

You go to college to set yourself up to make money in the future and that is what Flynn did. Too bad there wasn't the deep MM run to cement his #Aztec4Life legacy. The only question left is Matt going next?

What happens if he is drafted and doesn’t sign or doesn’t hire an agent?
Can he come back if he doesn’t like the position or offer?
I don’t follow the NBA rules that much

Flynn will get drafted and be the next Steve Nash. Hope he makes lots of money and fame and keeps the Aztecs in the news for many years like Kawhi. Thanks for the great season Malachi, good luck

The best of luck to the guy. I will remember the shot he made against San Jose St for a long time.

The money is waiting, only he knows when it's time to go. Thanks for the memories and the wins.
Who's taking his spot, btw?

I know that forgoing and testing the waters are different, and this doesn't feel like a Jalen McDaniels situation - but he could still come back right?

Bad for us but good for Malachi. I do think he has enough to stick around in the NBA and wish him the best while thanking him for the season he gave us.

Tough spot for him to be in because he definitely could have improved his stock in the NCAA Tournament. Who knows when the next college basketball season will be and when the next NBA season will start. If the draft doesn't get moved back it really sounds like players are extremely limited in improving their stock because all NBA teams can do right now is review stuff you had prior to the stoppage in play. He'll have a long professional career though.

NBA is throwing money around now with the G league, if guys like Che Evans can be offered 6 figures, having never stepped on a college court, guys who were successful like Flynn will always find a paycheck.

So does Pulliam move in to a starting role alongside the new transfer Gomez? I would assume so, unless Seiko or one of the freshmen step up.

Good for him. I could've seen us actually having an even better team next year if he returned, despite losing KJ and Yanni, but oh well. Malachi had a great season and he's making the right move capitalizing on it now IMO, even though his comments on improving his stock via the NCAA tournament also make a lot of sense. Given the situation though, I really do think he made the right decision.
Sucks for us, but oh well, sign of a good program. I fear his close friend and roommate Matt Mitchell will be next, so hopefully the recruiting trail turns up a few late in the game gems.
