believe the Lobos added regular transfer Freshman - Marcus Watson 6'6" from Oklahoma State - he may have been suspended for the first 14 games of last year It figures he went to the Lobos. They need to clean up the program. Didn’t they learn from last year team suspensions. They should have a probation officer stationed in the Men’s basketball office.

Surprised nobody is mentioning FSU's Aguir Agau. I thought he was a good young piece for them. That's gotta hurt

He transferred out without ever playing one minute for them. He was accused of rape but the charges were later dropped. But even after the charges were dropped, a restraining order went out against him and he remained suspended. That's the same MO of one of NM starter's, Caldwell, from last year that was suspended. What a sh*tshow they have there. Update: It's New Mexico State NOT the Lobos.

In the 7 Kingdoms, they send the rapers to the Wall to take the black. In America, they get sent to New Mexico.

The good thing is there are hardly any impact players leaving the conference. Hardy for sure, who's being replaced by an equal if not better player in Jenkins. AJ Walker, which timing dictates as well as a coaching change. That'll hurt AF, but losing Swan/Scottie to graduation was going to tank them anyway. And hate to see Taylor leave Wyoming - he was hoped to be a backbone, along with Maldonado & Thompson. But everyone else is easily replaced, typically seeking minutes or larger roles elsewhere types of players. There will be more, I'm sure, but thus far there are more coming in than leaving. Boise alone is adding 3 outstanding players. Will be interesting to see what happens in New Mexico? I would be surprised if Vance or hendrix was back In theory Jackson's been in school 4 years, but question whether he's the type to have actually graduated? Plus, he couldn't qualify for the 1-time transfer exemption. Will be interesting. Hendrix has already used a RS year & has used the transfer, so he'd be giving up a year of eligibility by transferring UNLESS he goes the JC route & opens himself up to being recruited that way. That might make sense. Curious to see if Lyle seeks a 6th year - guessing not, although he'd be an interesting grad transfer.

Ended up getting passed by several others in the rotation & would end up playing behind Hart & Holland, both FR, moving forward. Add in Hyder & Robinson as for sure starters, that's 4, and not sure if Agau would fit as the 5th with that mix? I think he'd have ended up being a career bench guy, which is fine and needed, but not for everyone. And that assumes they don't recruit over him again.

Looks like Jackson might graduate this spring and then he would probably go to a high-profile program or overseas. He's got the physical tools but he takes a lot of games off during the season. They really want him back for one more year but I'd be surprised if he stays there. Hendrix is a weird dude. When he plays hard, he's really good on defense and makes stuff happen on the court offensively too. But he's got a hair-trigger temper and acts out like someone who didn't take their meds. He has gone into the locker room during a game because he didn't want to be taken out of a game. He's sat on the bench, taken off his jersey and thrown it in a trash can. He's gotten in the face of a couple teammates because he didn't like the way they were playing. He's kind of nuts. Weir didn't enjoy coaching him and I doubt he's back. Jaquan Lyle is 24 and graduated from High School in 2014! And he didn't even have to go on a Mormon mission to do that. He has traveled a strange road since he was in high school. He was one of the kids at Rick Pitino's hooker parties and originally committed to Louisville the summer before his Senior year. But he de-committed a few months later. Then he committed to Oregon the spring of his Senior year. But he never qualified academically so he spent 2014-15 at IMG academy in Florida. (which to me is like being a pro) He finally got to college at Ohio State in 2015-16. Then in May 2017, he was arrested on three charges including DWI and transferred to New Mexico that summer. He had to sit out the 2017-18 season and then tore his achilles tendon right before the 2018-19 season which he also had to miss. He played in 2019-20. So he played 3 years, sat out a transfer year and sat out a medical rehab year. I guess he could get another year for hardship but he's what's wrong with that team (among other things) He's a ball hog, averaged over 4 turnovers a game and has terrible body language towards players, refs and coaches. I hope he stays.

It's official, JJ Caldwell, the suspended New Mexico PG is transferring. No news yet as to where. Most people in the program didn't think he'd be back.

UNM needs to check the list of guys getting out of prison by August first in order to find some new qualified recruits.

Weir and Hendrix didn't get along at all, each of them showed each other up publicly at different times. I'd be very surprised if he's back.

Wyoming down to 8 scholarship players and little upside with the exception of 6'7" Hunter Moldanado.
