The Oracle heard rumors about this in LA, but he heard that Steve Balmer rented a plane to fly the Clips down to SD to see Kawhi's jersey retired. Anyone know if this is true?

The best sound bite of the night was by Doc Rivers talking about how great Viejas and the atmosphere was. He looked in awe about how intense the experience was. I hope we get that clip and show recruits.

Balmer is a smart guy, all those Aztec fans are, or are future Clipper fans.

I hope we get that clip and show recruits. It was awesome! He was very genuine. Commented on seeing Coach Fisher and how he recruited him at Michigan. I am now a huge fan of Doc Rivers.

Balmer is a smart guy, all those Aztec fans are, or are future Clipper fans. This. Brilliant marketing move. The San Diego market, which typically hates LA sports, is untapped. Also notice the Clippers' branding change, with the "City Edition" black-and-white uniforms with script font lettering (that borrows from Grand Theft Auto) and tries to appeal to the blue collar fan base. Ballmer seems all-in on turning the Clippers into a winner.

they should play one game in SD next year. They used to do that in Anaheim.

When Fresno State retired Paul George’s jersey earlier this season, Ballmer did the same and all Clippers showed up in support. He’s a great owner and the players love him.
