we are very thin talent wise up front going to need AG as we enter the last part of the season - then MW T and MM
As we saw last night can get some tacky fouls on Yanni and Matt and we get in trouble on defense and the boards . Gave up some easy baskets to the Lobos near the basket

That tie up on the attempted dunk was epic. He’s a strong dude He did play for almost six and a half minutes last night. He scored 2, got 4 RB's, an assist, and 1 block shot. So, overall not too bad, and he looked like the old Arop on the court. He will help us considerably down the road as he gets more time on the court! He was a little rusty, but not worried about that in the least. In addition to critically needed front court depth, he does things for us that no one else does, he adds another level of toughness, tenacity, grit. I think his presence on D and the offensive boards takes to a place we don’t usually get otherwise. I wouldn’t overplay him down the stretch here, but enough to knock the rust off and get his game conditioning back. Of course If we are on a nail biter or foul trouble, he can be a difference maker. Guy is a tough dude, love him, he WILL make a big difference in a least one or two games before the season concludes. Also, not to look too far ahead, but he’s going to be an absolute stud next season. Just one more special guy on this team full of special guys.

AG is going to be very valuable if he can get back to close to full strength .
We need a physical player down low - as Matt or Yanni get in foul trouble or just need a few breaks
AG - can rebound and play good defense - areas we have not done well since he and Nathan have been out
He also has a 71% FT ( has not shot much but better then other reserves ) and does not TO the ball as much as the other guys .
Never know how the refs are going to call a game and it can affect our play in the front court - need the rebounds on both ends of the court and stronger play closer to the basket when the other team has the ball - not give up as many easy uncontested baskets
Hope he can continue to get better and able to make an even more contributions to the team - we are going to need it

He will play better as he gets more time in each upcoming game. Ha has been out of it for a while, so you can't expect All-American type performance!

Per Dutcher in the UT - he has not been pleased with our defense - we are going to need AG's help on defense and the boards

did see that the Aztecs HOPE to have Nathan for MM
But also think the team could really use a healthy AG - in the last 3 conference games . Then playing hopefully 3 games in the MW T

Air Force: 5 minutes. No stats. New Mexico: 7 minutes, 1-4 from the field, 4 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal. Boise State: 6 minutes, 1 assist, 1 TO, 1 rebound. No shots, no points.

Don't forget the great pass he had to Malachi after Dutcher called time out and designed the inbounds play. Might be my favorite play of the season. If you recall, AG is under the basket as Malachi fakes like he is going to come to him for a short pass, instead Malachi changes direction and AG hits him over his shoulder with 3 guys trying to pressure him, meanwhile Schakel sneaks out unguarded to the left sideline, as the 3 players converge on Malachi he whips the pass over to a now wide open and set Schakel. Of course Schakel converts the three and the 10 - 0 run Boise St. is on is stopped and our lead swells from 8 back to 11. Dagger! Game over! Freaking awesome! AG's shoulder looked pretty sound on that perfect pass. Huge play.

Going to need AG to continue to improve as we need help on defense , the boards .... not turning the ball over and even making Ft's
Do hope he continues to get healthy and able contribute even more
the other reserves have not developed as much as we would have hoped

It could be my imagination, or wishful thinking, but it seems to me that Aguek is making quiet progress. He has a spring to his step that not many other players on the roster have (maybe Keshad). He's out there battling among the big boys and dishing it out. It doesn't seem that he is holding back with that shoulder at all.
Still a bit of a bambi out there, but he's doing some good things. I think we got him back at just the right time and it will pay dividends in the weeks to come. Now, if we can get Nathan...

Watching him rebound is a joy. I hold my breath when he dribbles and sometimes when he passes but he's definitely improving with no ceiling sir.

His improvement over last year has been solid, especially considering how much time he's missed due to injury and illness. I could see him being our primary 4 next year, and assuming Nathan is back to his normal self, the addition of a solid grad transfer 4/5 swingman to cover both spots in the rotation, our frontcourt might not lose as much as we fear with the departure of Yanni. Throw in the likely freshman/sophomore improvement of Johnson and maturity/improvement with Joel, that part of our lineup may be pretty darned good!

Liked what I saw of him! Would of liked to see more especially in first half when that freshmen Thomas was raining shots on us.

As of now our primary reserve for the 4 or 5 position . Do need his defense and rebounding - hope he can stay healthy and make a solid contribution - our front line is going to need it
Keys can he stay healthy and play under control -
