Utah will also at least temporarily drop below 50 after their home loss to Oregon so we'll be at 3 Q1 wins. A close loss to Oregon will raise their net ranking. No, Utah dropped 6 spots. Surprisingly Utah St move up a spot. I figured with NET’s emphasis on offensive and defensive efficiency numbers they would’ve fallen a little since they didn’t play very well.

Wow, losing by nine points at home and Utah State still goes up a spot in the rankings. I know winning by 10 is the most that's factored in so I wonder if the margin had been 10, Utah State would have stayed the same or even dropped a bit.
Teams are going to love having us come to their arenas.

Still #1 in NET Rankings after Saturday's games. Utah State actually climbed 1 spot with the loss and is currently a Q1 win. They actually climbed up a spot because they played the #1 team.
It also looks like we have the most neutral/road wins with 7.

A part of NET is win percentage, and a home loss counts as 1.4 losses (which is more than double an away loss which only counts as 0.6 losses).
I'm surprised Utah State didn't drop more because of that (and unsurprised Utah dropped after a close loss to Oregon). They lost, nearly lost by 10 (the MoV cap), and their efficiency was less than predicted. My guess is that Utah State's opponents played well on Saturday so that their previous games looked better offsetting yesterday's loss

I also noticed that Nevada rose 14 places with their win over Boise. They're now at #81. If they rise just 6 more spots the Feb 29 game will be Q1.

Utah is back in the top-50 once again giving the Aztecs 5 Q1 wins. At the same time Colorado's loss erased one of Kansas' Q1 games. As of this morning the Aztecs are in a 2-way tie with Butler for most Q1 wins.

While I don’t believe a home Q1 win vs a road Q1 win matters in the NET computer ranking, it does with the voters. It’s a great side note to our resume.

Also worth noting is that the Lobos currently sit at #86 in the NET rankings with six games between now and our visit to the Pit on the 29th.
If they can settle their dysfunction long enough to play to their capability (on paper arguably the most stacked roster in the conference), they should be able to climb to a spot in the top 75, which would provide us with an opportunity for (yet) another Q1 win.

What might be most impressive is that SDSU's margin of victory in those 5 Q1 wins is 16.6 points.
