We get national publicity through him. So we need to care what random number he ranks us 2 months before the seeding? Doubtful. If he ranked us, #15 or #5. It would have no traceable affect on SDSU. Count me out. I’m not giving him clicks

You have given us your opinion as to why you chose not to (nothing at all wrong with that) but other fans may just be curious and want to see where he has us. There is no right or wrong choice (imo) here just a difference of opinion.

There is no right or wrong choice (imo) here just a difference of opinion. that excludes the ethical component. Gary Parrish behaved so unethically towards the Aztecs that the "right" thing to do for Aztec fans may be to not give him any clicks. There are plenty of other commentators/rankings/blogs out there.

The free publicity they will get during this undefeated run is priceless.

I will decide what is right or wrong for myself; thank you.

I’d prefer our program to get more national publicity than less, whether it’s from an a-hole or not.

I know everyone here hates Gary Parrish but he was just interviewed on 1360 AM and said a lot of good things about SDSU.
He said the following: -Has them ranked #6 in his poll. -He would vote Brian Dutcher coach of the year right now. -There doesn't seem to be a monster team this year to be scared of, the best teams this year aren't as good as the top teams of past years. Which allows it to be way more realistic for a team like SDSU to think National Championship. -Luck plays a roll in winning a national championship (example Virginia last year). -SDSU has a better resume than Auburn and on a neutral court would probably take them over Auburn to win. -Most likely to enter the tournament without a loss (although still unlikely). -Kenpom projects SDSU to be at least a 7 point favorite to win all their remaining games.
So he said a lot of good things about SDSU. Now he is an analyst for CBS Sports where SDSU games are televised so it behooves him to talk highly of SDSU. In regards to the past, He probably had a tip and was quick to report it in an effort to be first before properly vetting out the information. Yes it hurt SDSU, but I don't think he had it out for SDSU. Just a journalist trying to be first which happens all the time.
