shaping up to be the best in about 6 to 7 years?
Especially if Dutcher is able to land one of the quality big men SDSU is in the running for: Ebenezer Dowuona or Coleman Hawkins.
Discuss.

It'd be the best since 2014. On paper that one would be hard to beat, being that we had 2 top 100 players (3 if you include Kell who was just outside the top 100), plus the 3 star PG Kevin Zabo

Will we (or did we) land a top 100 player? Or a 4 star?

Let's see what the identity of this team will be before we get too excited. Yes, the new recruits are talented but what will they become as a unit?

20th ranked nationally at the moment. And no 1 and dones..... By the time they are juniors, this could be special.

Will we (or did we) land a top 100 player? Or a 4 star? I believe Che Evans Jr. was ranked as high as 40-ish, nationally, before injuring his leg and dropping to 147, or thereabouts. And for a time, he was ranked the No. 1 8th-grader in the U.S., for whatever that's worth.

20th ranked nationally at the moment. how does that happen without a top 100 player? seems odd. Because a ton of the players haven't committed yet, so a lot of teams only have 1 or 0 commits. We'll see where it ends up when more good players commit to schools

as noted Not very many of the higher rated players have signed so would guess we will not stay at 20 very long .
Che was very highly rated when he was in 8th grade . Had leg injury last summer but then played HS until it flared up this spring - think it was reported as serious leg injury and he had to change some recruiting trips. It has taken away most of this summer AAU evaluations and so he went from a 5 star to 3 star . Per Friday UT his people are not sure how much he will play his senior year in Philly . His people are also saying he will come in and will play with a chip on his shoulder to prove that he is the talent . He hopes to be a two or maybe three and done. He is also 19 years old
We know how it was for Malik , Kyle Spain , Tapley , Shelton ....
Do think it was a great signings but we will see how well and how quickly he can get into the form he once had .
Think both the guards are quality players but again lets see about the transition from HS to college . Think both of the guys are about 3 stars not in the top 200 but gives them something to prove . They also will have 2020 to learn from our current guards Think the other guard we were recruiting from Bishop Gorman was rated higher but Keith D made the decision to Commit first
Good commits so far do need assistance down low as we lose 2 guys after the 2019 season .
As is the usual case we have guys that the coaches think have a high ceiling as they develop - so will need coaches to develop them . Hope Acker can really help .

I take those rankings with a grain of salt. USC is #31 with the #1 recruit in the country. We'll unfortunately drop down as more teams sign more guys.

Well, Che's rating dropped because of his injury so these rankings are rather worthless. Right now this looks to be a pretty solid class and we have one more scholarship to offer. If we get one of the two bigs we're looking at I will be quite pleased.

will see how we do with the last scholarship - as we see UNLV is doing quite well and also transfers - not sure how Nevada , Fresno , USU, Lobos are doing
We have some good three star guys that could do well if they develop - major If
