have not said it has to be a 7 ft bulky guy- I also prefer a mobile guy but do need some one in the middle that likes to play D and rebound - areas that we have not been stellar at the last few years . Do appreciate Nathan play but he will need some assistance . in that position . If he has a banner year then we should be ok - or if we get quality minutes from Nolan or Yanni . But Nolan and Yanni will be gone Do thank the coaches for pursing guys that do play the 5 position . Like Coleman but think he wants to play the 4 . E. B seems to be a guy that plays the 5 position . Has not worked out when we put guys who prefer to play the 4 at the 5 . Malik , Jalen and the forward who transferred to ASU because he did not want to play the 5 and that is where we played him . USU this year is a top team because they have a quality guy at the 5 to go with their guards Does not matter if we get a HS guy , transfer or if the coaches actually think Joel will be the answer .... but will need assistance there in 2020 , Nail meets head...I concur Based on what you payed out the only guy that meets criteria is shaq. 7ft dude who is bulky and can move. Maybe Tim Duncan has some eligibility left.

GT clearly wasn’t happening anyways with the other big commitment. Seems like he’s leaning towards south Florida according to rivals experts unfortunately

Dutch has made a couple of trips to GA already. Hoping that those trips pay dividends!

not going to be easy to get a commitment but do think it would be worth it if the coaches can get it done

EB Dowuona is in high demand, 10+ schools in the mix, hasn't said a word in social media, nor do the recruiters know what he is thinking? GA Tech, Pitt, NC State, Auburn, Clemson, USF it could be anyone? Any one care to try to narrow to Top 4 or 5?

Aztecs in the Top Five: SDSU, PITT, NC State, So FLA and Denver. Wow what a mix!
Our logo in above all others? Is that a sign?

GT clearly wasn’t happening anyways with the other big commitment. Seems like he’s leaning towards south Florida according to rivals experts unfortunately USF HC Bill Gregory was HC at GA Tech for years, before that Dayton and has sent 25 guys into the league. The USF connection goes back to ATL, GA days. Newman is in the ATL suburbs. Gregory's pros:Maurice Ager – New Orleans Hornets Alan Anderson – Charlotte Bobcats Charlie Bell – Milwaukee Bucks Mateen Cleaves – Sacramento Kings Paul Davis – Los Angeles Clippers Even Eschmeyer – Dallas Mavericks Jamie Feick – New Jersey Nets Andre Hutson – Milwaukee Bucks Erazem Lorbek – Indiana Pacers Anthony Miller – Golden State Warriors Mike Peplowski – Sacramento Kings Morris Peterson – Toronto Raptors Zach Randolph – Memphis Grizzlies Shawn Respert – Portland Trailblazers Jason Richardson – Phoenix Suns Casey Shaw – Philadelphia 76ers Steve Smith – San Antonio Spurs Eric Snow – Cleveland Cavaliers Matt Steingenga – Chicago Bulls Marcus Taylor – Minnesota Timberwolves Chris Wright – Oklahoma City Thunder Brian Roberts – Charlotte Hornets Chris Johnson – Utah Jazz Glenn Rice Jr. - Washington Wizards Marcus Georges-Hunt - Boston Celtics

looks as though it could boil down to USF in the East and SDSU in the West
Hope our coaches can present best case possible to get the commitment - know it will be a very difficult battle- also does help having a couple of guys from Ghana on the current squad . Plus getting Che from the Baltimore area .

The weather here helped as well per his own words. Dowuona looks like he has been a priority for the staff for quite some time and having a couple of kids on the roster from Ghana can't hurt. But it could just come down to a decision by him of whether to stay closer to home or come out west.

I kind of rifled through this thread and didn't see a post regarding his decision making time frame. Anybody know when he is looking to make his decision?

He has been very quiet on his recruitment - Would guess he wants to get a complete look at all the schools he is interested in . Knows the schools that really want him will hold open a scholarship for him to possibly decide in November -
