Here is what it comes down to. There are some posters on this board that have waaaay too much time on their hands. They are nothing but a bunch of computer stat bullies. Must be still living in their parents sun room. I would have went basement, but it's a SD thing. If They want to read everything about the Padres minor league teams every day and come on here and paraphrase what they think is valuable information, be my guest. Reality is, if the Padres don't add some veteran players to their currently very young team soon, especially the pitching staff, it's going to be wait till next year every year. I don't have time to spend hours trying to impress people with gobbledygook stats to know better. Keep trying wanna be Padre fans. And here is an idea, you stat boys put a chart together and suck it!! I'm sure it will be crickets from the posters this is aimed at. FYI, that pulled trigger trade sucked, Tony Gywnn was a baseball God and Tim Flannery still rocks!!🎸

He has been playing left because that is where he likely profiles with the 40-ish arm. Amarillo is going to put him in center for the time being. It isn't a strong arm that determines a CF. Range is the key. Not exclusively.

There are so many things incorrect here, it just isn't worth it. Bye? What an ugly thing to type...does this mean we are no longer friends? Not personal, but just spouting out false information is not my thing. This is the problem when people see batting average and immediately jump off a cliff.

It's not exclusively but it is 95% or more. I have talked to multiple MLB people in the last 24 hours who have said otherwise. They don't share that opinion.

This is the problem when people see batting average and immediately jump off a cliff. I just want to point out that your opinions, are not facts. Tony Gwynn said how a player hits at double A is usually a good indicator of how things will go in the Majors. I have some questions about this guy. Why the low average at AA? If this guy is the next Eric Davis, why did the Reds part with him?

No, you just like to think you're popular by belittling anyone with your "inside information" who might be a little frustrated with the Padres Franchise. And that's rather douchey. It's especially demeaning to people who have been following the Padres from the late 60's and early 70's. Also, you should probably start using footnotes.

Ryan, I promise to come on here and say I was wrong if Trammel shows up on the major league scene in the next year and is lights out. I also hope that if he doesn’t you’ll come back and say you were wrong. He’s going to have to be a defensive sensation and hit for power before I acknowledge this as being nothing more than Preller’s need to fulfill his self proclaimed expertise about his love for prospects. Padres fans have been told that 2020 is the year so we’ll see.

Franmil has very little value long term without a DH in play.

I don't care about any of that. Take the information as you see fit. Frustration is fine, it's natural. You don't deserve any more credit though for following the team longer, unfortunately. We all want the same thing. Wins.

They played baseball many years without using them to the extent they are being used today!

Not a coincidence that 3 of the best teams in baseball are 3 of the best analytical teams in baseball as well. Aaron Sanchez was the worst qualified starter in baseball for a long period of time with Toronto this year. In his first start with Houston, he throws a combined no hitter. Not an accident. The game has evolved.

Franmil has very little value long term without a DH in play. Paper said he was regressing and overmatched at AA. Padres gave up 3 players. On paper, 1 of those players had reached career highs in half a Major League season. Another one of those players Victor Nova looks promising in Rookie League. If Paper is right every time, the Padres should be barred from ever trading with the Cleveland Indians!
