The bottom A10 (6) teams average losses 21 games, 70-125 for a 35% Pct. Not a boost for the KenPom & Net rankings.

Speaking of things FUBAR, holding the Mountain West tournament in Phoenix seems to me to be an idea which is exactly that. Granted all games would be played on an entirely neutral court but attendance would be poor. As an example, I get to the Valley of the Sun enough on business to say that there is next to nothing there one can't find in any comparably sized city. So because I have no friends or relatives to visit, if they move it there, count me out.

I wouldn’t ever want it moved out of Vegas, though. There’s a reason all the western conferences are there already...figures that’s when the MW would move on.

the A 10 series is a joke - another great reason to get out of the MW - head to AAC

San Diego might make a nice alt to Vegas, IMO.

There's a reason all of the leagues have moved their games to Vegas----attendance!!

We do play USD every year in the OOC. Just because you haven't noticed them on the schedule yet does not mean they will not be there. Could be they will be added later.
I do look forward to the rest of the OOC schedule, and who we may be playing!

Both leagues want their premier teams to play as many higher ranked teams as possible.

2019 Thanksgiving Tournament in Las Vegas has 4 teams- Texas Tech ( Final 4 this year ) - Iowa also a MM team this year , Creighton NIT and Aztecs side note The Hawaii T we played in this past year had Auburn, Duke, Zags, , Iowa State - Xavier also played in the T and believe they were in NIT We also play At BYU in 2019 Not sure if USD is on the schedule for 2019 ? Next year is the last of the 4-year agreement with USD. Game will be @ Jenny Craig. There's no agreement signed beyond next year that I'm aware of.

Realize we had been playing USD . But was not sure if any deal had been worked out to continue the series ? Could be that USD has been having difficulty getting an open date for their home schedule to slot us in. Don't know, but they enjoy playing us so you can be sure we will probably be scheduled as soon as they can.

I disagree, I think it's fun to play them and makes for a nice city rivalry and creates interest. If teams only played other teams of equal prestige, things would get pretty boring

We have nothing to gain, but everything to lose. If they had a national ranking higher than us, it would be a good game, but otherwise, why play there? It is all about money and exposure. We pay teams $90K to come here because we make more than $90K. We should play home/away games with teams that the tournament committee would see has good wins, but loses that do not hurt your chances.
We should not care about helping their program.

We beat them in 2003, but went to the NIT not NCAA, and in 2015 when we got beat by them at Petco Park we did compete in the NCAA Tournament. So, this past year when we got upset by them we did not go, but that was the first time in the past 15 years. You not afraid of them are you? They do provide an interesting matchup & rivalry, and are 2-2 against us in the past four years. Don't attend the games if you don't like them. No one will miss you.
