Okay SDSU fans... time to put up or shut up. I can't vote in the election, so I am making another $100 donation today to SDSU West. Who else? Any amount... do what you can. We all know how important this is to SDSU. At sdsuwest.org/ --> just click on the CONTRIBUTE button in the top right corner. Or use this link: www.efundraisingconnections.com/c/FriendsofSDSU2018/Great post. I'm in Riverside County so I can't vote either. Yard signs won't help and I don't do social media. So the only things I can do are contribute money and talk to friends/family who live in San Diego.

I donated a few weeks ago and requested a sign. Still no sign and I've seen nothing on TV or any other sort of billboard, etc. What the heck are these guys doing with the money? Time is running short. Early voting has already started!!!! i have yard signs if you need! DM me here and i can get them to you. I have signs !!!!!!
Thumbs up to Matteo.

Sorry but both props suck for the taxpayer. Please explain your case for why SDSU West 'sucks for the taxpayer.'

Sorry but both props suck for the taxpayer. Please explain your case for why SDSU West 'sucks for the taxpayer.' This is a new post for an old thread. I have no idea what the other poster's point is, but the title of the thread speaks for itself. My biggest opposition was twofold, the city could
have made better use of the land and SDSU, with this "grand vision" will probably end up overextending itself, and then....("bailout?" )
As USC was the topic of conversation on a previous thread, (as if those on this board have the standing to pass judgement of the school located in Watts)", let me refer to an old article..
"USC today formally kicked off the $270 million renovation project that will preserve and improve the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the 95-year-old home of the USC Trojans".
"The Coliseum is jointly owned by the state, the county and the city of Los Angeles, and is managed and operated by USC under a 98-year lease that extends through 2111".
"The renovation work — privately funded by USC without any university funds or public money — is scheduled to be completed for the 2019 home opener".
As old as San Diego Stadium is, it's obviously not as old as the Coliseum. But it's also apparent, given this is USC, this upgrade will be completed long before stadium construction commences in San Diego, (if ever).
Perhaps, the difference in leadership between Los Angeles and San Diego. This article, by the way, that I had previously read, was posted in January'18.

Perhaps, the difference in leadership between Los Angeles and San Diego. This article, by the way, that I had previously read, was posted in January'18. The Coliseum was never designed for baseball to be played in it (even though the Dodgers played there for a few seasons). It would cost SDSU much more money to reconfigure the current stadium to make it football-soccer only. It is a much better plan to level the current facility after building a new, smaller stadium, and at a lesser cost. By the way, it isn't just the leadership of L.A. that U$C had to deal with--it has to deal with the city, county, and the state. And...U$C also worked out a naming rights deal with United Airlines for the Coliseum which will be used to help pay for the remodel. I have no doubt that SDSU will be successful in their redevelopment of the current stadium site (without a "bailout" ). Of course, if we had done this your way, we could be playing USD on a regular basis in Aztec Bowl--assuming we would even still have a football team.

Has a school only played road games? They’d make so much money.

Has a school only played road games? They’d make so much money. I would assume not. Maybe we should be the first.
