Mine is going up 22% and my wife's is going up 35%. And that is after years of previous large increases since the "Affordable Care Act" was passed. Obama care has been an unmitigated disaster for us. Of course, if you are unemployed or underemployed, the ACA and California are wonderful. Remember, Obamacare only works if you don't. Just wait until Gavin gets power and gives away even more benefits and the premiums cover that too. It might be time to hunker down, pay off my mortgage with 401K money and reduce my need for income and get the subsidies. That should help the CA economy!

My government employer paid, $0 premium health insurance policy in my liberal state of employment is fantastic. But I agree, not everyone can be so fortunate - you can blame Senator Lieberman for killing the public option and making the ACA a more flawed, conservative experiment. Or more directly to your example, you can blame Anthony Rendon for torpedoing single-payer in spite of the voters and nearly every medical organization worth listening to.
Let’s work together to ensure single-payer is put in place NOW. Fck it, let the GOP do it now before the midterms so they can take credit, I don’t even care. Dems really don’t deserve credit when they took a filibuster-proof majority and gave us this Heritage Foundation, conservative free-market bs.

No, we do not want to "DMV" our health care. "For profit" health care is as good as a "for profit" economy. Just because Obama and the Democrats copied liberal Taxxachusetts led by RINO Romney, don't think for a minute it was the only way to skin that cat besides going to a NHS.
I've heard the US's veterinarians own more MRI machines per patient as does the UK's National Health Service does for humans. No thanks to their ultra long waits, age limits, death panels, etc.
There is plenty that can be changed in health care here without going all into a NHS. Nothing in the current law attacks the costs, increases competition, has everyone with some skin in the game as far as paying, reduces malpractice lawsuits and needless defensive testing, etc. And with a NHS, onerous taxes would simply replace onerous premiums with a reduction in access and quality.

Wait I thought we already had death panels? Or was that just something Track Palin’s mom convinced you of back when you still liked McCain?

She simply and correctly noted their part in socialized healthcare. Are you saying the moral equivalent of them don't exist in nation states that have complete Gov controlled healthcare? If so, you are saying Track Palin's mom is more intellegent than you (or saying you are dumber than her mom, if you prefer?).

I’m saying anyone who doesn’t accept/realize that socialized healthcare is a vastly superior system to the profit-driven version we had before the ACA, and the profit-driven one we have currently, is at best misinformed, and at worst stupid. I hope you get to enjoy the benefits of socialized medicine before you check outta here. I’m guessing we’ll have public option before 2022 or so. It’s a compromise but will push us in the right direction. Single-payer ten years or so after that. Oh, and death panels still makes me chuckle. You guys on the far-right are so gullible and prone to conspiracy theory scare tactics. It used to be funny! And P.p.s. - Track is Sarah’s serial woman-beater of a son, not the abortion-needing daughter.

Medicare for all.
It is the best of both worlds. PRIVATE health providers and a low overhead single payer system.
All we have to do is properly fund it.
