This is not the first time Dutcher has had to deal with Local HS star players
Believe if Dutcher still wants to keep an offer open to Mikey then it will still be there
There should be two signings during the Early signing time - then the Portal work
We will see what Mikey decides he is going to do but Dutcher and the staff will continue to move forward

Think Dutcher has shown the Aztecs interest in Mikey and would guess there is a scholarship for him IF he wants it
But as many Locals have shown they prefer to go to a Bigger Name School or Coach -
In the end it is the recruit who has the final decision

In the end it's the "sponsors" who will decide to pony up millions of dollars in NIL money to lure Mikey away from the pros to attend their chosen college for a year...(i.e. make $1M in the G-league...or make $20M to attend U of Texas for a year)...not much a decision for Mikey at that point

SDSU is going to lose some back court scoring with Bradley, Seiko & Trammell. We're gonna need some one who can shoot and attack the basket.

Memphis under Hardaway has been the king of signing multi big name recruits, losing them after a year (or less), and having pretty much nothing to show for it. Somehow, they are on national TV every week though.

Would it matter if suddenly San Diego State was in the PAC-12?

Somehow, they are on national TV every week though. Hardaway has things that kids want: 1) tons of BB cred after 14 years in the NBA 2) record of regularly winning in four years, 85-43 3) and MOST importantly; he's got 6 former players into the NBA in those 4 years, including 3 drafted in the 1st Round.

This is true. Maybe not so great for the fans, seeing players leave so quickly, but plenty of blue blood programs go thru that every year as well. I prefer our method. But I do see your point regarding what's good for some of those players.

Dutcher wants players who are going to be on the Mesa 3+ years, that’s not Mikey.
Good for him, he can get the college experience for a couple of years then….on to wherever his hard work takes him.

I guess what I meant was they don’t have much to show for it in their W-L record or NCAA tournament record. Having an NBA star for a coach and national TV exposure SHOULD bring them more success than they’ve seen.
