According to social media IU fans mostly are happy to see him go because he was nothing but a tease ... super athletic and talented but no motor and always underachieved. I still think a PG/G )sit-1 year) is the last scholarship. There’s too much talent and not enough minutes, and we lose 2 starting quality PGs ... priority is guard for sure.

Agreed, although if Anselem says yes I'd be very happy.

A lot of fanbases work like that. They’ll miss him

Andre Adams PF/C 6'9 230 is available. He was on our interest list in 2015, was able to pass entrance exams after IMG Academy and was pursued by SMU, Kansas State, Missouri, Nevada, San Diego State and Arizona State. We signed Nolan that year. Signed with ASU, Adams has plenty experience. Spent two years at ASU, in year #2 tore his ACL. Then transfered and played two years at So Utah. He averaged close to 10 ppg and 6.5 rpg over two seasons with the Thunderbirds. Stats www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/stats/_/id/3948149/andre-adams. compare his stats and Joshua's Compare where they played. Joshua faced tougher comp on a Tuesday in October than Adams faced all year. We've signed Tomiac, we have zero need for Adams.

Luckily we brought in a lot of big time talent over the last 2 years as well. Boise going for UA's leftovers isn't a bad strategy. Should be interesting to see if Leon can get them to blend well. He's a pretty good coach IMO. Agree the MWC didn't really have any big winners or losers overall though. Only maybe a handful of impact transfers leaving, with UNLV being hit the hardest. But they also benefited from some good additions. May even be better overall. The losses most likely to be felt might be Jackson at NM & Hyder at Fresno - not sure either was adequately replaced. AF wouldn't have been able to replace Walker IMO, so good for them he returned (yet they're still bad).

Would say Aztecs lost the most valuable player to their team and conference with Malachi heading to the NBA - being a very important part of almost every phase of our team . plus senior guard TJ - Also lost Yanni down low - not easy to replace 3 quality starters . Did add Gomez but can he step up in a better conference . Also health of Nathan and AG are going to be very important . plus development of Keshad and can grad transfer Joshua make quality contributions .
USU lost their key guard to graduation Merrill . As you mention other teams also lost some good players - Nevada - Lobos - Fresno - UNLV but added others
BSU has added numerous guys the past couple of years - key could be if Alston returns -if so they could be a very good team - as we saw last year important for coaches to be able to mesh incoming talent with returning players - Aztec coaches did a very good job last year getting the guys to work together - some times having players giving up their individual game for the team game

I think that's your point and the league couldn't get much worse.
Che Evans will be all 1st-team MWC by his sophomore season. He's still rebuilding his strength but already looks great.

Can't see SDSU having any interest.

In reading articles about Pauly - he has had a tough life - with single mom and 7 children . Wants to do well in his last year of college basketball for his mother and of course himself
Has good stats on both offense and especially Defense including blocks and rebounds( yes it was in a lower level conference but blocks and playing defense is always a skill that some do not have )
Think getting away from the East Coast and working with the Aztec coaches could be a valuable asset for him and the Aztecs
We do not know how many minutes Nathan will be ready to play , Joshua is still an unknown on production so Pauly could be a part of the puzzle that the Aztecs could find valuable . We know we will play BYU and USU and others that have quality big men . Just a thought

If there's ZERO connection to SDSU, perhaps "Other Colleges and Conferences" would be a more logical place for information unrelated to the Aztecs... since this is the "Aztec Recruiting" area?

Understand there is no direct connection - did not think there was one with Joshua either . Not sure if there was with Yanni last year . But maybe coaches could show the development Yanni had when he was here with our coaches . We are all hoping that Nathan can come back strong but does that mean 20 minutes or ? Joshua is still an unknown . Are we also at a position that with solid play down low we could have strong chance at MM ?
Would guess our coaches have decided if they want to reach out or take a pass on Pauly - but see his defense as a good fit for the Aztecs - plus able to add some points
