Another great game tonight, and the Aztecs win their 7th game in a row this year, and continue their best win streak this season! Twenty wins this season also! But, you know what is more remarkable? With this win tonight in MW Tournament play our Aztecs have won 24 games in the MW Tourney since it first started back 19 years ago. I don't have the stats of all teams who have played in the MW Tournament, but 24 could be a leader. In fact, it could be the twenty-four wins are far more than many of the wins of most of the teams added together! Now you see why many of us proclaim the T&M as the Aztecs second home court! Tomorrow the Aztecs will be playing to go for win No. 25 vs. Nevada. Great Win & Go Aztecs!!!!!!!

According to Wikipedia we are at 27 wins (says 26, but also says that it's as of 2017): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_West_Conference_Men%27s_Basketball_TournamentThat's more than UNLV who would now be at 26. We're also tied with UNM for most Championships won (4), and in first with most Championship Appearances (9). We also have the highest winning percentage of all teams at 65.9% (including Utah/TCU/BYU). For reference, that's more than double Boise's win percentage (now 30% since they are 3-7).

Amazingly, we are 8-0 against UNLV in our last eight meetings in the tournament. Including last year, which according to Vegas betting experts was one of the worst bad beats in bball betting history (Vegas ~+10, were up ~15 on us, we rout em in OT to beat the spread). Bill, I assume the 2002 final was the beginning of the current streak?

Amazingly, we are 8-0 against UNLV in our last eight meetings in the tournament. It's always been silly for people to complain about UNLV's "home court advantage" in the tourney. They play like crap in this thing.

They play like crap in this thing. It seemed in some respects given his success in the T&M that Steve Fisher's protests were much ado about nothing.

They play like crap in this thing. Just off of memory, I thought they were pretty good and won it a few times in the early-mid 2000's, which is before we got real good. Needless to say they've been bad the last number of years, since their HC Krueger left for Oklahoma

Wikipedia may be adding in the victories we have overall in the MWC Tournament which is suppose to be 28-14, but 4 of those victories are not at the T&M, which I was reffering to. Four victories were at Denver when we played the MW Tourney there for three years. All the victories I was talking about were at the Thomas & Mac only.
