We have to play great defense and the Refs have to let us play tough defense. We need to make our free throws , not turn the ball over and hit 45 % of our shots. I don't know if we will do it but we are capable of doing it.

You hit the nail. Refs will determine game with Nevada. I thought today's game the refs were screwing us. Go Aztecs!

We can beat New Mexico or Wyoming. Nevada's another story. You don't think we CAN beat Nevada?

Dang, New Mexico has about as easy a schedule to get to the conference championship game ever! First they don't have to play us at Viejas and skipped Nevada as well in the regular season, now they don't have to play anyone in the top 5 seeds until the final.

I would gladly face New Mexico in the final. They aren’t that good. Kenpom has them as worse than UNLV. We would be 4-5 point favorites over them.

That loss dropped boozie state to 3-7 in mwc tournament games since 2012. The aztecs gave them a couple losses of the 7. Franklin's game-winning three pointer gave them heartburn. Definitely not their house.

New Mexico looked pretty good last night. I think they are the dark horse in this tournament. They've also finished off the season playing well.

You hit the nail. Refs will determine game with Nevada. I thought today's game the refs were screwing us. Go Aztecs! Not a fan of outlooks like this. You're essentially already blaming the refs while creating an excuse for the Aztecs if they lose. The players will determine the game with Nevada; we need to quit blaming officiating when bad things happen. I think good teams are able to adjust/adapt and overcome.

Definitely not their house. I remember multiple Broncos laying on the floor looking up at the ceiling in disbelief after JF hit that 3. He mos def saved our bacon from going out on Thurs as a 1-seed, which would have made for a sad few days in Vegas indeed. For me, he redeemed himself for the Kemba idiocy in that moment.

I'm glad we have different opinions, haha. The year that JF hit that game winning shot against BSU, we were probably already safely in the NCAA tournament. So, even if he had missed the shot, we were probably in the tourney anyway. The Kemba bump was a killer....so was Kawhi's technical earlier in that game. Eh, what're you gonna do?

New Mexico looked pretty good last night. I think they are the dark horse in this tournament. They've also finished off the season playing well. I agree, their defensive intensity was impressive, looked a lot like the Aztecs D. And as douchey as their fans are, you gotta hand it to them, they travel better than anyone in the conference. And for those who are about to respond, "You'd travel well too if you lived in ABQ," save your breath. We have no excuse for not travelling as well (especially when you know Aztecaritas are being served).

If we face them, I will be concerned about their pressure D. I like to think we have gained composure as we’ve improved overall, however, we have seen our guys kinda crumble at times when things don’t go their way. They’re gonna have to show a resilience we haven’t seen a lot of this season.

Just went down the elevator with a USU player. I congratulated him on the W but he said there was a family emergency and he was leaving now. I’m 6’ 2” and he must be about 6’ 5” I don’t know who he was but best wishes to him. USU will be minus one tonight.

The dogs starters played about 20 total minutes more than the Aztec Starters yesterday. So, the Aztecs bench got 20 minutes more of floor time than the dogs bench yesterday.
I'm not convinced that an average of 4 minutes more playing time per starter will make a noticeable difference in todays game with regard to endurance. Hope that it is bigger than it looks on paper!

We can beat New Mexico or Wyoming. Nevada's another story. Nevada's last loss was to the Aztecs, and their next last loss will be to the same team.
