Uneven first half. Need to establish Malik and Jalen inside more, I think. Watson needs to close out under control.
Both Jalen and Malik now have 2 fouls.

Good defense still, but really sloppy on offense. I wonder what our shooting percentage is? Can't be good.

Watson & Hemsley have made some poor choices with the ball in the paint!! Actually thought Hemsley made a great play on the transition drive where he stopped, turned his back to the defense and fired out a pass for an open 3. |

I'm not watching (at work), following on Gametracker. But the stats suggest that we are getting beaten on every parameter but shooting percentage. 8 personal fouls to 3. 13 rebounds to 14. 6 turnovers to 4. When our shooting cools down we may be in trouble.

29-24, 1:03 to go. Kell's four point play was pretty opportune. Managing to hold a lead with Malik and Jalen glued to the bench is nice. Icing the ball screens is really disrupting the flow of Fresno's offense.

7 turnovers and 9 personal fouls is way too much. Do that again in the 2nd half and it'll be hard to win. We are not going to see Fresno go 1-7 in the 2nd half from 3.
Pope and Kell having solid games. Pope needs to rebound. Hopefully McDaniels can stay out of foul trouble in the 2nd half. Need something from Mitchell and Schakel.
Team that has less fouls in the 2nd half wins the game.

I have a love/hate relationship with Devin Watson. I love it when he makes shots he shouldn’t be taking. I hate the fact that he is not a true point guard.

Everything looked OK, but soft play — esp on D boards — allowed Fresno to keep pace. Should be SDSU by 10 at half.
