With the tiebreakers, SDSU is locked into the 5th or 6th seeds meaning beat nevada and root for boise to beat wyoming for the 5th seed. The 5th seed plays at 2:30 Thursday or 6th seed at 4:30 Wednesday.

Google says Wyo-Boise tips at 4pm Pacific, so we'll know if we still have a shot by game-time. My hope is Boise gets fired up after we beat them.

As horrible as is it to have the possibility of playing on a Wednesday given our legacy and recent stretch of good play, it's nice to have things down to just two games with just two possibilities.

The only team doing something like that was the hated 2011 UCONN (floppers) team that won 5 games in 5 days!!! in the Big East Tournament and then ran the table to win the National Championship.

Especially knowing that worst case scenario we play SJSU in the late game Wed. Not only will we be playing the biggest cupcake in the league, but it being the "late" game hopefully means best possible fan turn-out (not to mention maximum Aztecarita tailgate time pregame  ). And the added silver lining to the 6-seed would be opposite side of the bracket as UNR. I still want that 5-seed though. 4 games in 4 days is brutal, no matter who you're playing. |

Here's the seeds that are set at this point:
#1 - UNR
#2 - BSU
#9 - Air Farce
#10 - CSU
#11 - SJSU
Incredibly the Rehhhbuuls could lose @ USU on Senior Night and end up in the dreaded 8/9 11 am game on Wed. Who woulda thunk that 2 weeks ago?

The winner of fresno state-new mexico is the third seed. Loser gets 4th. SDSU or Wyoming for 5th or 6th. Unlv or Utah State is 7 or 8th.

NO team has won all four and advanced. This is true, but also worth noting that the current set-up with 11 teams and multiple "play-in" games (6-11 seeds) has only been around for 4 years (prior to 2014, there were some play-in games but that was typically an 8-9 game). A #6 seed has won the tournament before (Colorado State in 2003). |

The way we are playing in the last five games we could do it. But, of course it would be easier if we only have to play for three days. But, the way we are playing now we are very dangerous to anybody, and looks good for us in the tournament!  |

Amazingly, if we managed to beat BSU at their place (the game was real close), there would be a 4 way tie for 2nd place.
