Just playing devil's advocate here: wonder if the school would offer a similar course focused on the (actual) impeachments of presidents Clinton and Johnson? Side note, I'm not familiar with "Cal. Burkley." Moved to the political board in 3, 2, 1...

I second that....and oh by the way, it's "Berkeley" not "Burkley".

Full disclosure, I am on the faculty of the department for which John teaches, and he is a friend.
John Cleary is a brilliant man. He has argued in front of the US Supreme Court several times, winning his cases (I believe) twice. A US Supreme Court Justice called our office to give a personal accolade about John to our School's Director. I know him fairly well and can assure you that whatever the politics, John knows the law and has a brilliant mind. After retiring as one of the most influential public defense attorneys in the USA, the man earned a PhD in Russian. He has now also fluent in Chinese. His credibility and integrity are completely bulletproof.

The reason I posted this is because comments in media include people referring to John as a traitor. I did not mention that John is a veteran of the US Army, in which he was an MP and later a JAG officer.

It’s focus on the process is interesting. The professor, based solely on the comments in this thread, sounds informed, credible and could be captivating to hear speak on any law / military topic. I would be excited to take this course

Any definition of integrity includes adhering to concepts like fairness and honesty. These are clearly absent in this case. And any person of integrity would have to agree.

Just another bonehead move by someone at SDSU when we are in the most critical stretch of trying to expand the campus and grow our research arm. Probably lost a couple thousand votes from this move.
