Who cares? We've been predicted to be in Las Vegas by multiple people, New Mexico, etc. We're not going to the Hawaii bowl this year, and the Poinsettia has gone away. The best of the MWC bowls, aside from the G5 invite into the NY6, is Vegas, New Mex & Boise, with the Arizona bowl right behind.
If we win the conference we have 2 options - NY6 & Vegas; outside of that, our best hope is another conference not filling their allotment, like the B12 not getting a team into the game in Santa Clara or the Cactus bowl. Sadly, being in the Potato bowl simply means you weren't the #1 team from the conference but could have lost in the conference championship game.

How about we make sure BYU and ARMY, (Notre Dame?) are not eligible...then take their spot in a bigger better diffrent-er bowl!

I mean, in a "reload" year, that's not terrible. We can do better, but let's not complain about a 8-9 win regular season and a bowl game in a down year. Glad we're winning, and I expect great seasons in '18 and '19.

Until we won the Vegas I viewed our bowls as pointless exhibitions. That one alone launched us to 25. This year anything less than Vegas will be pointless again.

Even 8-9 wins is nothing to sneeze at, especially with this schedule, and getting into any bowl is a good experience for the kids. The # goal is to win the West & get into the MWCCG. That's the #1 "bowl". |

I'll be happy with anything we get. The more MWC Championships and bowls we make, the better our chances of getting a P5 invitation.
To me, that's a big WIN for our program. We got bigger fish to fry.
